On 04/25/2023 at 3:18 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 55-year-old male, Carl Sambogna of North Bergen, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Further investigation into the incident revealed that Mr. Sambogna was also involved in a shoplifting incident at Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive prior to the incident at Walmart. Mr. Sambogna was further charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] for the incident that occurred at Kohl’s. Mr. Sambogna was issued 2 complaint warrants for both incidents and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/25/2023 at 6:06 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old male, Darius Charles of Rockaway Beach, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Mr. Charles was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Charles was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/26/2023 at 4:00 AM, a 29-year-old female, Taylor DePinto of Secaucus, NJ entered Secaucus Police Headquarters for the purpose of turning herself in for an outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ, stemming from an investigation conducted by the Anti-Crime Unit in January 2023. The outstanding warrant was issued for the charges of Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-5B(9)(B)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-5B(3)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Cocaine and Methamphetamine within 500 feet of a Public Park [2C:35-7.1A], Possession with intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A], Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Xanax [2C:35-10A(1)]. Ms. DePinto was issued the complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/27/2023 at 8:09 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Newark Penn Station to take into custody a 62-year-old male, Jose Bravim of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $350.00. Newark did release Mr. Bravim on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Bravim was unable to post bail for the warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/27/2023 at 8:43 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, the Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit arrested a 52-year-old male, Daniel Tripp of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Oxycodone, Morphine, Vicodin and Sublingual [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Tripp was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 04/28/2023 at 1:24 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 21-year-old male, Ravin Patel of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hardyston, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West Milford, NJ in the amount of $1,200.00. Both the Hardyston and West Milford released Mr. Patel on his own recognizance pending future court dates. Mr. Patel was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 04/28/2023 at 4:00 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 41-year-old male, David Evertz of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Evertz was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 04/28/2023 at 7:54 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old male, Jawon Johnson of East Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ with no bail. Mr. Johnson was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses. Officers from the Woodbridge Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Johnson for transport back to their authority.

On 04/28/2023 at 9:40 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of County Avenue and Seaview Drive on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37-year-old male, Ryan Jaipaul of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Jaipaul was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 04/30/2023 at 1:21 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, the Secaucus Anti-Crime Unit arrested a 32-year-old male, Justin Ihling of Bayville, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Adderall [2C:35-10A(1)] along with a 43 year old female, Lisa Gonzalez of Secaucus, NJ for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Amphetamine [2C:35-5B(5)]. Mr. Ihling was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody. Ms. Gonzalez was issued her complaint summons and she was released from police custody.

On 04/30/2023 at 9:56 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 752 County Avenue on a report of an individual peering into an apartment window. During the investigation, the police located an individual on scene who subsequently began to run from the police. The male entered a motor vehicle and a subsequent motor vehicle stop was conducted. During the stop, the police arrested a 30 year old male, Jason Rosario of Belleville, NJ for Attempted Burglary [2C:18-3A(1)] and Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3C]. Mr. Rosario was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. The investigation is still ongoing.
