On 02/20/2023 at 2:53 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 54-year-old male, Daniel Crawford of Brooklyn, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union Township, NJ in the amount of $800.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Crawford was additionally charged with Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. Mr. Crawford was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 02/20/2023 at 10:37 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Keansburg Police Department to take into custody a 32-year-old male, Ryan Sibole of Keansburg, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of South Brunswick, NJ in the amount of $750.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $300.00. Hoboken did release Mr. Sibole on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Sibole was able to post bail for the warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ, South Brunswick, NJ and Newark, NJ and he was released from police custody.

On 02/22/2023 at 6:35 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to an eluding incident that occurred on 02/03/2023 on Route 3 West, the police arrested a 27-year-old female, Latoya Thompson of Avenel, NJ for Eluding [2C:29-2B]. Ms. Thompson was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road after she responded to Headquarters for the purpose of turning herself in for the charge of Eluding. Ms. Thompson was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Lawrence Township, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Elizabeth, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Ms. Thompson was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/23/2023 at 11:49 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old male, Xavier Falabella of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $500.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Neptune, NJ in the amount of $550.00. Mr. Falabella was able to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 02/25/2023 at 11:55 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Calvin Klein located at 30 Enterprise Avenue on a report of a shoplifting. The individuals involved in the shoplifting fled in a motor vehicle prior to police arrival. While responding to Calvin Klein, the police observed the vehicle involved in the area of Meadowlands Parkway and 10th Street. A motor vehicle stop of the involved vehicle was attempted, where the vehicle subsequently fled from police. The vehicle ultimately came to a stop and the involved parties attempted to flee from the police on foot. During further investigation, the police arrested a 43-year-old male, Carlos Chala Betancur of Queens, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Possession of an Antishoplifting Control Device [2C:20-11F], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(2)] and Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A]. The police also arrested a 54 year old female, Martha Toro-Calderon of Elmhurst, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Possession of an Antishoplifting Control Device [2C:20-11F], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. Both Mr. Chala Betancur and Ms. Toro-Calderon were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 02/26/2023 at 12:17 AM, Secaucus Police responded to The Harper located at 110 Park Plaza Drive on a report of an individual sleeping in the mail room. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old male, Ali Moazeb of Brooklyn, NY for Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3B(1)]. Mr. Moazeb was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Moazeb was released on his own recognizance in relation to both outstanding warrants. Mr. Moazeb was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 02/26/2023 at 2:12 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old male, Gerber Simonmanuel of Garfield, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Simonmanuel was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 02/26/2023 at 12:31 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31-year-old female, Megan Morseman of Brentwood, NY for Possession with intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Ecstasy [2C:35-5B(5)], Possession of CDS believed to be Ecstasy [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(11)(B)], Possession of CDS believed to be Adderall [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Methylphenidate HCI [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of a Fraudulent Government Document [2C:21-2.1D] and Credit Card Theft [2C:21-6C(1)]. Ms. Morseman was issued her complaint summons and she was subsequently released from police custody.

On 02/26/2023 at 4:33 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Walmart parking lot located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36 year old male, Erikson Mejia Hernandez of North Bergen, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to police. Mr. Mejia Hernandez was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Mr. Mejia Hernandez was issued his complaint summons. Officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded and took custody of Mr. Mejia Hernandez for transport back to their authority.
