On 12/05/2022 at 9:38 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 39-year-old male, Ryan Powell of Englewood, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Officers from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take custody of Mr. Powell for transport back to their authority.
On 12/05/2022 at 9:59 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 44 year old female, Joanna Smith of Toms River, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to police. Ms. Smith was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 12/05/2022 at 2:32 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 58 year old male, John Smallze of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Unlawful Use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6C(2)], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information, Identity Theft [2C:21-17A(4)], Exhibiting a False Government Document [2C:21-2.1C], specifically a Driver’s License and Exhibiting a False Government Document [2C:21-2.1C], specifically a U.S. Passport. Mr. Smallze was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Pompton Plains, NJ in the amount of $3,501.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Smallze was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 12/06/2022 at 3:55 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Cups Frozen Yogurt located at 700 Plaza Drive on a report of a fight where one of the involved parties reportedly brandished a knife. During the investigation, the police arrested a 34 year old male, Gerald Rainey of Secaucus, NJ for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically a pocket knife, Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3B] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)]. Mr. Rainey was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 12/07/2022 at 7:50 AM, Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 19 year old male, Adam Stevenson of Newark, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Stevenson was issued his complaint summons and he was released from police custody.
On 12/08/2022 at 12:06 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33 year old male, Duquan Campbell of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10 % option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $750.00 with a 10% option. East Orange did release Mr. Campbell on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Campbell was issued 9 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.
On 12/08/2022 at 12:04 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Route 3 West main roadway on a report of a disabled motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 28 year old male, Alberto Vital of Rahway, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00. Mr. Vital was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses. Officers from the Woodbridge Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take custody of Mr. Vital for transport to their authority.
On 12/08/2022 at 2:28 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to an Invasion of Privacy incident that occurred on 11/28/2022 at Kohl’s, the police responded to Paramus, NJ and took into custody a 29 year old male, Jesus Gallegos Valdez of Passaic, NJ for Invasion of Privacy [2C:14-9B(2)]. Mr. Gallegos was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 12/09/2022 at 2:42 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 25 year old female, Karina Tejada of Clifton, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. Tejada was issued her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 3 additional motor vehicle summonses and she was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On 12/09/2022 at 11:38 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the rear parking lot of UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of individuals stealing pallets. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36 year old female, Elizabeth Caiza of Plainfield, NJ along with a 46 year old male, Jamie De La Cruz of South Plainfield, NJ and a 38 year old male, Eduardo Galarza-Palan of Plainfield, NJ for Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft [2C:5-1A(1)], Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3A], Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-2A(1)]. The police also arrested a 17 year old male of Plainfield, NJ for Criminal Attempt to commit Theft [2C:5-1A(1)], Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-2A(1)] and Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3A]. The juvenile male was subsequently released into the custody of a responsible adult. Ms. Caiza along with Mr. De La Cruz and Mr. Galarza-Palan were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
On 12/10/2022 at 5:32 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 5th St and Centre Avenue on a report of an assault. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20-year-old male, Deejay Santos of Secaucus, NJ for Theft [2C:20-6A]. Mr. Santos was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
