Secaucus Police Blotter 07/25/2022 - 07/31/2022

On 07/25/2022 at 3:48 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Best Buy located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31 year old female, Megan McGirr of Kearny, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Ms. McGirr was issued her complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On 07/26/2022 at 3:00 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30 year old male, Tysheem Goode of Newark, NJ along with a 28 year old male, Dakwain Oliver of Jersey City, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A], Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-2A(1)]. Mr. Oliver was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Rahway, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Oliver was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons. He was additionally released on his own recognizance in regards to the outstanding warrant issued out of Rahway, NJ pending a future court date. Mr. Goode was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 07/28/2022 at 3:19 PM, Officers from the New Jersey State Police responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and transferred custody of a 29 year old male, Noel Yarngo of Staten Island, NY for the charges of Fencing [2C:20-7.1B] and Theft by Deception [2C:20-4]. Both charges were issued by the Secaucus Police after a Theft by Deception incident was reported to the police on 04/01/2022. Mr. Yarngo was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/30/2022 at 2:57 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 41 year old male, Luis Rivas of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Rivas was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
