On 07/05/2022 at 3:37 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 26 year old male, Luis Decastro of Yonkers, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. The police also arrested a 31 year old male, Jesus Rivera of Queens, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. Mr. Rivera was also found to have 2 outstanding NCIC warrants issued out of Queens, NY with no bail. Mr. Rivera was additionally charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Decastro was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. Mr. Rivera was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/06/2022 at 9:45 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to an eluding incident that occurred on 06/16/2022, the Secaucus Police arrested a 20 year old male, Demetrius Higgins of Jersey City, NJ at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Higgins was found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hamilton, NJ in the amount of $550.00. Mr. Higgins was charged with Eluding [2C:29-2B]. Mr. Higgins was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/07/2022 at 10:00 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a Burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred on 06/22/2022 in the area of Huber Street and Garry Terrace, the Secaucus Police arrested a 16 year old male of Secaucus, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Burglary [2C:5-2A(1)]. The Secaucus Police arrested the juvenile male at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. The juvenile male was served his Juvenile Complaint summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 07/07/2022 at 12:45 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a theft from a locker at LA Fitness located at 485 Harmon Meadow Boulevard on 06/02/022, the Secaucus Police arrested a 19 year old male, Noa Lisimachio of New York, NY for 2 counts of Theft [2C:20-3A], Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)], Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)], Employing a Juvenile in the Commission of a Crime [2C:24-9A], Fraudulent use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6C(1)] and Fraudulent use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6H]. Mr. Lisimachio was arrested by the Secaucus Police at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Lisimachio was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 07/08/2022 at 3:05 PM, Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a dispute and possible assault. The issue was found to have started when an individual entered UPS and displayed a fraudulent Driver’s License when attempting to pick up a package. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24 year old male, Sekou Swaray of Englewood, NJ for Exhibiting a Fraudulent Government Document [2C:21-2.1D], Theft of Identity [2C:21-17A(1)] and Criminal Attempt to commit Theft by Deception [2C:5-1A(1)]. Mr. Swaray was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 07/08/2022 at 10:40 PM, Secaucus Police observed a vehicle parked in the area of Post Place and Centre Ave where the driver of the vehicle appeared to be asleep. During the investigation, the police arrested a 33 year old male, Solomon Kebede of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Kebede was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 5 additional motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 07/09/2022 at 12:35 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Secaucus Road and County Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 58 year old male, Juan Almonte of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Almonte was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
