During the week of June 10, 2019, PSE&G crews will perform the following work:

Replace gas main and services on Born Street @ Paterson Plank Road from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Born Street will be closed except for transportation related to school, emergency responders and clients of assisted services. |

Replace gas main and services on Second Ave. @ Roosevelt Ave. from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Second Ave. will be closed except for transportation related to school, emergency responders and clients of assisted services. |

Replace gas main and services on Second Street @ Centre Ave. from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Second Street will be closed except for transportation related to school, emergency responders and clients of assisted services. |

Replace gas main and services on Centre Ave. @ Tenth Street from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Centre Ave. will be closed except for transportation related to school, emergency responders and clients of assisted services. |

Replace gas main and services on Gillis Place @ Franklin Street from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Gillis Place will be closed except for transportation related to school, emergency responders and clients of assisted services. |
This project is part of the PSE&G Gas System Modernization Program (GSMP) to replace aging cast iron and unprotected steel gas mains in order to support a safe, clean and reliable gas system.
The mains and services will be replaced with stronger more durable materials which are much less likely to have leaks and release methane gas.
The new elevated pressure systems also enable the installation of excess flow valves that dramatically reduce gas flow if a service line is damaged, and provide better support for the use of high-efficiency appliances.
