On 01/24/2022 at 11:54 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Candlewood Suites located at 279 Secaucus Road on a report of a disorderly patron. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53 year old male, Michael Mcneill of Townson, MD for Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], a box cutter, Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(3)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(1)]. Mr. Mcneill was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 01/25/2022 at 3:14 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 555 Plaza Drive on a report of a suspicious vehicle located in the parking lot with the operator who appeared to be asleep. During the investigation, the police arrested an 18 year old male, Kenneth Durango of Union City, NJ for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], a box cutter. Mr. Durango was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 01/26/2022 at 2:51 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35 year old male, Brandon McKinney of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Mr. McKinney was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 01/26/2022 at 10:15 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Bureau in regards to an eluding incident that occurred on 10/16/2021, the police arrested a 21 year old male, Zechariah Kirkland of Newark, NJ for Eluding [2C:29-2B] after Mr. Kirkland entered Secaucus Police Headquarters. Mr. Kirkland was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 01/26/2022 at 5:20 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 25 year old female, Natasha Grier of East Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $300.00. Newark did release Ms. Grier on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Ms. Grier was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On 01/27/2022 at 3:03 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Bureau, the Secaucus Police arrested a 15 year old male of Secaucus, NJ for Invasion of Privacy [2C:14-9C]. The male was issued his Juvenile Complaint summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On 01/28/2022 at 4:00 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32 year old male, Kevin Sterling of West Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Morris County, NJ with no bail along with 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Bexar County Texas with no bail. Mr. Sterling was also charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. The police also arrested a 32 year old female, Theresa Loughlin of West Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Ms. Loughlin was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was issued 5 motor vehicle summonses. Officers from the Jersey City Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Ms. Loughlin for transport to their authority. Mr. Sterling was issued his complaint warrant along with 1 motor vehicle summons and Officer’s from the Morris County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take custody of Mr. Sterling and was subsequently transported to their authority.
On 01/28/2022 at 3:06 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24 year old male, Hugo Mejia-Hernandez of Union City, NJ for Exhibiting a Fraudulent Insurance Card [2C:21-2.3B]. Mr. Mejia-Hernandez was issued his complaint summons along with 5 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 01/30/2022 at 7:56 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Englewood Police Department to take into custody a 21 year old male, Jean Cardenas of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Cardenas was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
