On 01/06/2022 at 7:56 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28 year old male, Damian Sherman of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Saddle Brook, NJ in the amount of $275.00. Mr. Sherman was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On 01/06/2022 at 11:40 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35 year old male, Amir Halley of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. Halley was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On 01/06/2022 at 3:26 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38 year old male, Sonny Leo of Edison, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of the Essex County Sheriff’s Office with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Leo was also charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Possession of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6A] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Leo was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 01/07/2022 at 10:08 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 41 year old male, Dale Holley of Irvington, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $200.00 with a 10% option. Newark did release Mr. Holley on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Holley was issued 6 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 01/08/2022 at 9:11 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 52 year old male, Earl Hayes of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Cranbury, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Hayes was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 01/08/2022 at 3:21 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 42 year old male, Michael Derico of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paramus, NJ in the amount of $750.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Derico was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 01/08/2022 at 6:18 PM, Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle disabled in the area of County Avenue and Paterson Plank Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53 year old male, Santos Romero of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Franklin Township, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Romero was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
On 01/09/2022 at 10:38 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the parking garage of 2000 Riverside Station Boulevard on a report of a male who was intoxicated and was attempting to operate a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48 year old male, Vikas Sharma of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Sharma was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
