On 12/20/2021 at 12:43 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 19 year old male, Brian Martinez-Tejeda of the Bronx, NY for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, a knife [2C:39-5D]. Mr. Martinez-Tejeda was issued his complaint summons along with 7 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 12/21/2021 at 12:29 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27 year old female, Empress Dykes of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newton, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10 % option. Ms. Dykes was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 12/21/2021 at 4:23 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31 year old male, Ryan Walker of East Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Ringwood, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of New Brunswick, NJ in the amount of $750.00. The police also arrested a 26 year old male, Romario Angus of Brooklyn, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Ringwood along with the New Brunswick released Mr. Walker on his own recognizance pending future court dates. Newark did release Mr. Angus on his own recognizance pending a future court date and he was released from custody. Mr. Walker was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.
On 12/22/2021 at 7:29 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in regards to a motor vehicle crash that occurred on the same date at 3:03 PM in the area of NJ Route 3 East, the police arrested a 24 year old male, Tyhid Shannon of Jersey City, NJ for Exhibiting a False Insurance Card [2C:21-2.3(b)] at Secaucus Police Headquarters. Mr. Shannon was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. East Orange did release Mr. Shannon on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Shannon was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and he was released from police custody.
On 12/22/2021 at 10:59 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 42 year old female, Sameerah Scott of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington, NJ in the amount of $450.00. The Irvington Police Department did release Ms. Scott on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody.
On 12/23/2021 at 1:53 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24 year old female, Lyasia Burch of East Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Orange, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Burch was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
On 12/24/2021 at 2:26 AM, a motor vehicle struck the Secaucus Municipal Building located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30 year old male, Hugo Brito of Jersey City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50] and Exhibiting a False Government Document [2C:21-2.1C]. Mr. Brito was served his complaint summons along with his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated and an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
