On 10/04/2021 at 11:18 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28 year old male, Khalil Caldwell of East Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Caldwell was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 10/05/2021 at 5:30 PM, Secaucus Police conducted a motor vehicle stop of a motorized scooter that was creating a hazard on the roadway. During the motor vehicle stop, the police arrested a 39 year old male, Roberto Bravo of Union City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Bravo was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 10/05/2021 at 6:00 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28 year old male, Juan Torres-Melo of Hackensack, NJ for 5 outstanding warrants issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $1,815.00, along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $421.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $424.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Torres-Melo was able to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On 10/05/2021 at 5:14 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Pandolfi Avenue on a report of a theft of a bicycle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27 year old male, Santiago Salcedo, non-domicile, for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Salcedo was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 10/06/2021 at 2:28 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33 year old male, Michael Whitaker of New York, NY for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the U.S. Marshall’s Office with no bail. Mr. Whitaker was also charged with Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing police with false information, Possession of CDS believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Whitaker was issued his complaint summons and complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 10/06/2021 at 10:03 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35 year old male, Gabriel Espino of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $3,500.00 along with 2 outstanding warrants issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $620.00. The North Bergen Police Department did release Mr. Espino on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Espino was unable to post bail for the warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ. Officer’s from the Hackensack Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Espino for transport to their authority.
On 10/06/2021 at 11:23 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24 year old male, Evan Smith of Teaneck, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hazlet, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Smith was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 10/09/2021 at 1:27 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26 year old male, Javier Castillo of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Prospect Park, NJ in the amount of $750.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Castillo was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On 10/09/2021 at 4:35 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28 year old female, Shantel Walker of Paterson, NJ for Exhibiting a False Government Document [2C:21-2.1C], specifically a driver’s license, Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing the police with false information, Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(3)(B)] and Theft of Identity [2C:21-17A(1)]. Ms. Walker was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Ms. Walker was unable to post bail for the involved warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ. Ms. Walker was issued her complaint summons along with 5 motor vehicle summonses. Officer’s from the Paterson Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Ms. Walker for transport to their authority.
On 10/09/2021 at 7:03 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20 year old female, Zanobia Ford of East Orange, NJ along with an 18 year old male, Salik Ford of East Orange, NJ and a 22 year old male, Tevin Mcneill of Newark, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing the police with false information. Ms. Ford, Mr. Ford and Mr. Mcneill were all served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
On 10/10/2021 at 3:15 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 41 year old male, Derrick White of Lyndhurst, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. White was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 2 additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
