For the second week in a row, Secaucus sadly broke the infection rate record since the pandemic started. This means that COVID-19 is more wide spread in Secaucus now than even back in April. This is reflected with the continued sharp spike in the graph below. (Click on any of the data points in the graph to see daily statistics.)

There was a record 112 new coronavirus cases in Secaucus this week, as the total number of cases grew from 1,005 to 1,117. Comparing this to last week's 101 new cases, the infection rate has just climbed by another 10.9%. Again, this is the highest infection rate for COVID-19 in Secaucus throughout the whole pandemic, and it's a similar situation for many other parts of the country. This is why the CDC has recommended that large family gatherings be avoided this Thanksgiving. However, both air and road travel this week have been at their highest levels since April, so we will most likely see things get worse before they get better. Hopefully, we won't return to the scenario where there are long lines outside supermarkets and a shortage of essential supplies like water and toilet paper.
