This week, the total number of coronavirus cases in Secaucus grew from 904 cases to 1005 cases. That's an increase of 101 new cases. Sadly, this is the largest weekly increase on record, even when compared to the height of the pandemic back in April. Furthermore, there were more new cases this week than last week, which means the infection rate is still continuing to climb. Comparatively, this week's infection rate is 8.6% higher than that of last week's. And with the holidays coming up, that number may very likely continue to rise with many people traveling for family gatherings. So it seems like the worst is yet to come. The only saving grace is that there have been no new coronavirus related deaths reported so far from this second wave of the pandemic.
