Secaucus Police Blotter 09/28/2020 - 10/04/2020

On 09/28/2020 at 5:22 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Red Lobster located at 700 Plaza Drive on a report of an assault. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30 year old female, Stephanie Barbosa of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ with no bail. Ms. Barbosa was subsequently transported to the Hoboken Police Department.

On 10/01/2020 at 12:56 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 48 year old male, David Connolly of Lyndhurst, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Connolly was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 10/03/2020 at 12:23 AM, Secaucus Police were advised of a vehicle that been driven carelessly in the area of Millcreek Drive. A motor vehicle stop of the involved vehicle was conducted in the Exxon Gas Station located at 445 Route 3 West. During the investigation, the police arrested a 45 year old male, Darius Evans of Jersey City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Evans was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 8 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 10/04/2020 at 2:57 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 25 year old female, Yaszmin Arias of the Bronx, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of False Government Documents [2C:21-2.1D]. The police also arrested a 35 year old male, Miguel Arias of the Bronx, NY for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-5B(9)(A)], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Forgery Devices [2C:21-1C], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], Possession of False Government Documents [2C:21-2.1D] and Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A]. Ms. Arias was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Ms. Arias was served her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Mr. Arias was served his complaint warrant along with 6 motor vehicle summonses and subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/04/2020 at 4:52 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29 year old female, Natalie Serrano of Paterson, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)]. Ms. Serrano was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $500.00 along with 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Passaic County Sherriff’s Office with no bail. The police also arrested a 30 year old male, Michael Ramos of Paterson, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Failure to hand over CDS to Law Enforcement [2C:35-10C]. Mr. Ramos was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $600.00. The Paterson Police Department did release both Ms. Serrano and Mr. Ramos on their own recognizance. The Passaic County Sheriff’s Office also released Ms. Serrano on her own recognizance regarding their outstanding warrant. Both Ms. Serrano and Mr. Ramos were served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
