On 08/24/2020 at 9:08 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28 year old male, Jay Herrera of Union City, NJ for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(11)], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(3)] and Money Laundering [2C:21-25A]. Mr. Herrera was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 08/24/2020 at 9:19 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Dunkin Donuts located at 216 County Avenue on a report of a male acting disorderly in the parking lot. During the investigation, the police arrested a 42 year old male, Dawoud Rourk of Newark, NJ for Being Under the Influence of a CDS believed to be PCP [2C:35-10B], Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer [2C:12-1B(5)(A)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(11)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana within 500 feet of a Public Park[2C:35-7.1A], Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], Possession of CDS believed to be PCP [2C:35-10A(1)] and Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Rourk was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bayonne, NJ in the amount of $7,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00. The police also arrested a 15 year old juvenile male from Raleigh, NC for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Tampering with Evidence [2C:28-6A(1)]. The juvenile male was served his juvenile complaint summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult. Mr. Rourk was served his complaint warrant along with his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated and an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 08/24/2020 at 7:18 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33 year old male, Lamar Hunter of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $300.00. Mr. Hunter was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Hunter was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 08/24/2020 at 10:40 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 33 year old male, Conrad Layton of New York, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(3)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(11)], Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Expandable Billy, [2C:39-3E], Possession with intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of a Weapon while in the Course of Committing the offense of Possession of CDS with intent to Distribute [2C:39:4-1.C]. Mr. Layton was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 08/26/2020 at 12:15 AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel located at 40 Wood Avenue. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old male, Dawan Fulton of Bayonne, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Fulton was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently released from police custody.
On 08/27/2020 at 2:56 AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of Best Buy located at 925 Paterson Plank Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 44 year old male, William Anderson of Union, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Anderson was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 08/27/2020 at 12:29 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29 year old male, Cleowin Chal-Marte of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Millburn, NJ in the amount of $750.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Chal-Marte was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 08/28/2020 at 12:08 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 21 year old female, Saraanne McLaughlin-Varela of Nutley, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Ms. McLaughlin-Varela was issued her complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On 08/28/2020 at 12:38 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 19 year old male, Edilberto Merino of Guttenberg, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Merino was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On 08/29/2020 at 12:06 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 1538 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 68 year old male, Michael Collins of Secaucus, NJ for Driving Under the Influence [39:4-50]. Mr. Collins was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving Under the Influence along with 2 additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On 08/29/2020 at 11:40 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22 year old male, Ahmed Khalifa of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Khalifa was served his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On 08/30/2020 at 2:36 AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 34 year old female, Shana Leary of Paterson, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Ms. Leary was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 08/30/2020 at 11:46 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Hilton Garden Inn located at 875 Paterson Plank Road on an alleged assault and theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old male, Donovan Hines of the Bronx, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Hines was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
