There were once again new coronavirus cases reported this week, but the number of new cases was less than that of last week. Plus, there were no coronavirus related deaths reported this week. So it looks like last week's higher than usual statistics was just a one-off. See the details in the graph below. (Click on any of the data points to see daily statistics.)

The number of new cases increased from 655 cases last week to 658 cases this week. That's an increase of 0.5%, which is significantly lower than last week's increase of 0.9%. And as previously mentioned, there were no coronavirus related deaths in Secaucus reported. Despite the improved statistics, though, the Secaucus school board recently announced that schools will be reduced to a half day schedule through the end of October to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmissions. So the situation is still continuously changing as officials monitor whether the autumn season will bring a rise in infection rates.
