Although there are still new cases of coronavirus being reported in Secaucus, that number has been consistently low for the past two months now. The total number of COVID-19 cases reported in Secaucus currently stands at 649. That's only a 0.6% increase from two weeks ago, and there has been no new coronavirus related deaths reported in over a month. So at this point, the statistics definitely suggest that the pandemic has died down in Secaucus. However, before letting our guard down, the next major hurdle may be just around the corner. With summer coming to an end in a few weeks, many medical professionals have theorized that the spread of the virus will pick up again. This is further complicated by the start of the flu season in the fall. With both the flu and potentially COVID-19 spreading, it will be very difficult to distinguish one from the other, leading to confusion and panic. Combine that with kids returning to school in a few week, the situation could become very chaotic to say the least. Hopefully, this will not be the case, and the curve will continue to remain flat through the autumn season.
