Like last week, the number of new coronavirus cases in Secaucus only grew by a very small margin. So although Governor Murphy did report on an increased number of new cases in New Jersey this week, there are no signs that this is the case in Secaucus specifically. This week, the total number of COVID-19 cases reported in Secaucus is at 645. This is just two more than last week's 643 cases (an 0.3% increase). Although any new cases shows that the virus is still a potential threat, the current low rate of infection does suggest that life in Secaucus is ready to return to normal. This is especially relevant right now as the Secaucus School Board is busy planning the best way for kids to
return to school in September. Nothing has been finalized yet, though, so the coronavirus statistics for the next few weeks will be crucial in determining what is best for the children of Secaucus.
