Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.
On 03/11/2019 at 2:18 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 500 Plaza Drive on a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 43 year old male, Teodoro Bernal of Union City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Bernal was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 6 additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On 03/12/2019 at 1:00 AM, Secaucus Police received a call from an individual wishing to surrender himself to the police department for an outstanding warrant issued by another jurisdiction. During the investigation, in the area of 1151 Paterson Plank Road, the police arrested a 20 year old male, Adam Rodriguez of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Nutley, NJ with no bail. Officers from the Nutley Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Rodriguez for transport to their authority.
On 03/12/2019 at 1:27 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 61 year old male, Luis Rivera-Vallejos of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information. Mr. Rivera-Vallejos was issued his complaint summons and was released from custody.
On 03/12/2019 at 4:15 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 19 year old male, Pablo Ortega of Jersey City, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Atlantic Highlands, NJ in the amount of $750.00 and 1 outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $350.00. Mr. Ortega was able to post bail for the involved warrant. Newark Police Department did release Mr. Ortega on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Ortega was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody.
On 03/13/2019 at 12:57 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Newark Penn Station where the NJ Transit Police Department were holding a male who had an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ. Upon arrival at Newark Penn Station, Secaucus Police arrested a 54 year old male, Marvin Billings of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1000.00. Mr. Billings was also found to have 3 outstanding warrants out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $850.00. Newark Police Department did release Mr. Billings on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Billings was sentenced to 5 days in the Hudson County Jail by the Secaucus Municipal Court. Mr. Billings was transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 03/13/2019 at 3:30 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Linden Police Department to take into custody a 20 year old female, Ahzhane Reeves of Roselle, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Ms. Reeves was brought to the Secaucus Municipal Court where she was seen by the Municipal Court Judge and was subsequently released from custody.
On 03/14/2019 at 8:21 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 42 year old male, Roberto Villatoro of Fort Lee, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Villatoro was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody.
On 03/14/2019 at 11:15, the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division was notified by a Probation Officer from the Bergen County Probation of an outstanding warrant issued for an individual residing in Secaucus, NJ. With this information, the police responded to the Extended Stay Hotel located at 1 Plaza Drive where they arrested a 19 year old male, Nicholas Tantillo of Secaucus, NJ for 1 NCIC warrant issued out of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Officers from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take custody of Mr. Villatoro for transport to the Bergen County Jail.
On 03/14/2019 at 5:47 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested an 18 year old male, Pharoahe Thomas of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be THC oil [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Thomas was served his complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 03/14/2019 at 6:10 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 45 Meadowland Parkway on a report of a suspicious person. During the investigation, the police arrested a 22 year old male, Matthew Griffin of Old Bridge, NJ for 1 NCIC warrant issued out of the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office with no bail. Mr. Griffin was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West Milford, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Butler, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Kinnelon, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Griffin was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 03/14/2019 at 8:59 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Walmart parking lot on a report of a child left unattended a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 45 year old male, Juan Maldonado of Elizabeth, NJ for Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. Mr. Maldonado was issued his complaint summons and was released from custody. The child involved was unharmed.
On 03/15/2019 at 10:17 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27 year old male, Maurice Facey of Brooklyn, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Facey was served his complaint summons and was released from custody.
On 03/15/2019 at 4:06 PM, the Secaucus Police Department was notified by the US Marshall’s Office NY/NJ Fugitive Task Force that they will be attempting to apprehend a male who was currently located in Secaucus, NJ for an outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Brooklyn, NY. During the investigation, the police arrested a 21 year old male, Taliby Kaba of Brooklyn, NY for 1 NCIC warrant issued out of Brooklyn, NY with no bail. Mr. Kaba was additionally charged with being a Fugitive From Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Kaba was served his complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 03/15/2019 at 8:06 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel located at 40 Wood Avenue on a report of a suspicious person. During the investigation, the police arrested a 42 year old male, Sennca Nesbit of Jersey City, NJ for an NCIC warrant out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Mr. Nesbit was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. Nesbit was additionally charged with Possession of CDS Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information. Mr. Nesbit was served his complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 03/16/2019 at 8:29 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34 year old male, Francisco Acevedo of Union City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Acevedo was served his complaint summons, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody.
On 03/17/2019 at 1:21 AM, Secaucus Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of 1203 Paterson Plank Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 40 year old male, Christopher Ditore of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Ditore was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated, was issued an additional motor vehicle summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
