The statistics from last week were not encouraging as they suggested that the rate of Coronavirus infections in Secaucus were back on the rise. As can be seen in the graph below, though, this week's numbers actually went in the opposite direction, and there was a decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases for the first time. (Click on any of the data points in the graph to see specific details.) So we seem to be finally heading in the right direction. Unfortunately, though, there was also a new case of Coronavirus related death reported.
Over the course of the past week, the number of Coronavirus cases reported in Secaucus went down from 616 to 599. That's a drop of 2.8%. Although this is not a huge drop, it is the first drop Secaucus has seen since the pandemic started. So this is a very encouraging sign that Secaucus has caught up with the rest of the nation and is on the way to recovery. This is in stark contrast to last week where the rate of infection was actually on the rise. So it seems like last week's statistics may have been just a fluke. Hopefully,
the numbers will continue to drop next week. That will confirm that Secaucus is now over the hump of the health crisis, and we are indeed on the way back to normalcy.
