Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, June 1 until 4 p.m., NJDOT’s contractor, IEW Construction Group, is scheduled to close and detour the Route 1&9 northbound ramp to Paterson Plank Road to allow a concrete pour on Route 495 westbound. In addition, Paterson Plank Road may have alternating traffic under Route 495 during the same time. Route 1&9 northbound travel lanes will not be effected. The following detour will be in place:
Route 1&9 northbound to Paterson Plank Road Detour
- Traffic on Route 1&9 northbound wishing to use the ramp to Paterson Plank Road will be directed to stay left prior to the ramp and get on Route 3 westbound
- Take the first exit for Route 495/Lincoln Tunnel
- Follow the ramp onto Route 495 eastbound
- Stay in the right lane and take the Columbia Avenue exit to Paterson Plank Road
