Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 03/05/2019 at 2:52 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowland Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37 year old male, Robert Vargas of Newark, NJ for an NCIC warrant out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Officer’s from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Vargas for transport to the Hudson County Jail.

On 03/07/2019 at 9:55 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a shoplifting incident at CVS where the actor had already left the store. During the investigation, the police located and arrested a 41 year old male, Francisco Baez of Wrightstown, NJ in the area of 101 Centre Ave for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Baez was served his complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 03/07/2019 at 10:26 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31 year old female, Eileen Flores of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $150.00. Ms. Flores was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody.

On 03/07/2019 at 10:52 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Salem County Jail to take custody of a 26 year old male, Vincent Thomas of Lumberton, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $5000.00. Mr. Thomas was also found to have 2 outstanding warrants out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $550.00 and 1 outstanding warrant out of Camden, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Thomas could not post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 03/07/2019 at 11:46 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 41 year old female, Nicole Jones of Elizabeth, NJ and a 40 year old male, Luthom Smart of Elizabeth, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. Ms. Jones was issued 1 motor vehicle summons, was served her complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail. Mr. Smart was served his complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 03/07/2019 at 3:53 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30 year old male, Efigenio Arroyo of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Mr. Arroyo was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from custody.

On 03/07/2019 at 6:18 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Newark Police Department to take custody of a 30 year old female, Stephanie Jimenez of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $5000.00. Ms. Jimenez was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Ms. Jimenez was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 03/07/2019 at 11:38 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Edison Park and Ride located at 675 New County Rd on a report of a possible intoxicated female attempting to operate a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36 year old female, Chaya Neuwirth of Tallman, NY for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. Neuwirth was also issued a motor vehicle summons for Reckless Driving [39:4-96] and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
