Secaucus Schools Closed Due to Coronavirus

Posted Fri, Mar 13, 2020, By Staff Writer
Although there are still no cases of Coronavirus patients reported in Secaucus, Mayor Michael Gonelli and School Superintendent Jennifer Montesano met earlier today and decided to close all Secaucus public schools from March 13, 2020 through March 20, 2020. This is just a precautionary measure as there are no reported cases of any student who contracted the disease. The schools' closings include the suspension of all clubs and after-school activities. However, the schools' free and reduced-price lunch program will still be available. Eligible families will be contacted with further details.

During this week, the affected schools will begin its remote learning program. The Board of Education will provide further details on what this entails as soon as they are available.
