The Secaucus Police Department recently issued the following press release regarding this incident.
At approximately 10:05 A.M., on Friday, March 1, 2019, Secaucus Police Officer Sean Egan pulled over Bryan Solomon, 27, of Jersey City, NJ for a motor vehicle violation in the area of County Avenue and Dorigo Lane. During the motor vehicle stop, Bryan Solomon turned over a quantity of suspected ecstasy to Police Officer Matthew Ford who arrived at the scene of the stop shortly thereafter. Bryan Solomon was subsequently placed under arrest.
During a search of Bryan Solomon’s vehicle, Police Officers Egan and Ford found several fraudulent credit cards along with a reencoder device with related computer equipment, which are suspected to have been used to facilitate a fraudulent credit card scheme. Additionally, numerous gift cards were seized with a combined value of over $10,900.00. Another quantity of ecstasy was seized from the vehicle along with a quantity of marijuana, TCH oil and drug paraphernalia. Lastly, $76,230.00 in cash was seized, since it is believed it has been derived from a nefarious source.
Bryan Solomon was charged with Possession of Ecstasy [2C:35-10a(1)], Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10a(4)], Possession of Hash Oil [2C:35-10a(4)], Possession with the Intent to Distribute Ecstasy [2C:35-5b(3)], Possession with the Intent to Distribute Ecstasy within 500 feet of Public Housing [2C:35-7.1], Credit Card Theft [2C:21-6c(1)], two counts of Possessing Falsely Embossed Credit Cards [2C:21-6c(5)], Possession of a Reencoder Device [2C:21-6.1b(2)] and Money Laundering [2C:21-25a].
Bryan Solomon was taken to the Hudson County Jail in Kearny, NJ pending his appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.
