Secaucus Police Blotter 01/13/2020 - 01/19/2020

Last week's arrests and incidents as released by the Secaucus police.

On 01/13/2020 at 9:13 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Edison Police Department to take into custody a 25 year old male, Anthony Nelson of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ for the charges of Theft [2C:20-3A] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)] with no bail along with 4 outstanding warrants issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $1,550.00. The warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ pertained to a theft incident that occurred at the Bagel Buffet located at 127 Plaza Centre Road on 11/17/2019. Mr. Nelson was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 01/14/2020 at 7:49 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31 year old male, David Robinson of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Robinson was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 01/14/2020 at 2:08 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35 year old female, Delmy Fragoso of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jackson Township, NJ in the amount of $350.00. Ms. Fragoso was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody.

On 01/15/2020 at 4:32 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Union County Jail to take into custody a 47 year old male, Rajohn Saxon of Sunberry, PA for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Basking Ridge, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Sunberry was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 1/15/20 at 7:29 PM, Secaucus Police arrested a 17 year old female of Secaucus for shoplifting [2C:20-11b] from Kohl’s, located at 3 Millcreek Drive. The juvenile was released to her parent.

On 01/16/2020 at 4:45 P.M., Secaucus Police responded to the Union Police Department to take into custody a 25 year old male, Raul Mateo of Maplewood, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $281.00. Mr. Mateo was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 01/16/2020 at 8:00 P.M., Secaucus Police responded to the Haledon Police Department to take into custody a 25 year old male, Jaquir Huntington of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Mr. Huntington was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 01/18/2020 at 1:34 PM, In furtherance of an investigation being conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division for a burglary and theft involving a motor vehicle that occurred in the area of 733 2nd Street on 01/10/2020, the Secaucus Police arrested a 24 year old male, James Pena of Secaucus, NJ for Burglary [2C18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Pena was issued his complaint warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 01/18/2020 at 3:20 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of First Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue on a report of suspicious activity. During the investigation, the police arrested a 19 year old male, Alexander Raggi of Secaucus, NJ along with an 18 year old male, Alejandro Perez of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Raggi was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Both Mr. Raggi and Mr. Perez were served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 01/19/2020 at 2:54 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Mercer County Jail to take into custody a 56 year old male, Cornelius Robinson of Trenton, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100.00. The Secaucus Municipal Court did release Mr. Robinson on his own recognizance and he was released from police custody.

On 01/19/2020 at 4:23 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting incident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29 year old male, Anthony Crossin of North Bergen, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)], Being Under the Influence of a CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10B], Possession of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6A], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2], Hindering Apprehension by Providing False Information [2C:29-3B(4)] and Improper Discarding of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6.1A(1)]. Mr. Crossin was also found to have 3 outstanding warrants issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $7,500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Harrison, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $458.00. Mr. Crossin was further charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] for a shoplifting incident that occurred at Kohl’s on 01/11/2020 and Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] for a shoplifting incident that occurred at Kohl’s on 01/17/2020. Mr. Crossin was served his complaint warrants and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
