1. On February 20, 2025, at approximately 7:45 a.m., Police Officers Ronald Kibitlewski and
Zackary Guido responded to the 300 block of 13th Street on reports of a possible trespasser in
the lobby of a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) property. When they arrived, they found the
individual, later identified as 47-year-old Tony Caamano of North Bergen. It was discovered
Caamano did not live in the building and had no valid reason for being there. He also had
warrants out of Jersey City and Union City for his arrest. He was arrested and a search incident
to arrest located a clear glass cylindrical tube with a bowl at the end and burnt ends and a clear
plastic bag, containing a while powdery substance, suspected to be CDS cocaine. He was
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with defiant trespassing, possession of
CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia. After being processed, he was transported to the
Hudson County Correctional Facility.
2. On February 20, 2025, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Police Officers Leroy Sherrill and
Alexander Miller responded to the Hoboken Shelter, 300 Bloomfield St., on reports of a
disorderly individual refusing to leave. An on-scene investigation revealed the man, later
identified as 34-year-old Jesus Andrade of Weehawken, had been previously banned from the
shelter. He appeared to be intoxicated and became agitated and verbally aggressive, suggesting
he wanted to fight the officers when they explained he couldn’t be there. When he was asked to
leave again and told he would be arrested if he did not, he became verbally aggressive toward the
shelter staff. He was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. It was learned he
had a warrant for his arrest out of Hudson County. Andrade was charged with disorderly conduct
and defiant trespassing. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
3. On Friday, February 21, 2025, at approximately 4:05 p.m., Police Officers Leroy Sherrill
and Alexander Miller responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting
involving an aggressive individual. Upon arrival, officers located the individual, later identified
as 39-year-old Jean Miranda of West New York, who was being detained by store security. An
on-scene investigation revealed Miranda was seen taking items from shelves and putting them
into a bag, before pretending to pay and then attempting to leave. When security stopped him at
the exit, Miranda tried to flee with the stolen items that added up to approximately $170, but he
was unsuccessful, and store security held him until the police arrived. He was arrested and
charged with robbery. It was found Miranda had warrants out of Union City. He was transported
to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing and ultimately transported to the Hudson County
Correctional Facility.
4. On February 22, 2025, at approximately 3 a.m., multiple Hoboken police officers responded
to Dipped and Smashed, 91 Washington St., on reports of a fight involving up to six people after
which all six fled toward Third Street. Officers stopped all of them and an on-scene investigation
discovered that one of the individuals, later identified as 27-year-old Bryan Perez-Almonte of
Jersey City, vandalized the men’s bathroom of the store with permanent paint. Almonte was
arrested, transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, and charged with criminal mischief. He
was processed and released with a summons.
5. On February 22, 2025, at approximately 1:40 p.m., Police Officers Harry Montalvo and
Daniel Barron responded to Walgreens Pharmacy, 1300 Willow Ave., on reports of a possible
robbery during which an employee was assaulted by a shoplifter who then left the scene. Police
Officers Aaron Font, Jason Figueroa, Brandon Fitzgibbons, and Anthony Rutkowski also
responded. An on-scene investigation revealed the actor was seen placing medicine bottles into
his jacket pocket. When an employee asked him to put them back, he did, but when he was asked
to leave, he became upset, threatened the employee with violence, and threw a canned beverage
striking the employee’s arm causing a bruise. Police Officers located the actor, later identified as
32-year-old Salahudin James of Newark, outside of the store and he was arrested for robbery. A
search of James found him to be in possession of a 7-inch folded knife. He was transported to
Hoboken Police Headquarters, and it was discovered he had previously been convicted of a
burglary, so he was additionally charged with certain persons not to have a weapon and
possession of weapons for unlawful purposes. After being processed, he was transported to the
Hudson County Correctional Facility.
6. On February 22, 2025, at 5:10 p.m., Police Officers Michael Chen and Frank Lombardo
responded to Johnny Rockets, 134 Washington St., on reports of someone who was injured. An
on-scene investigation discovered a man had gone into the restaurant to get assistance after
someone had pushed him in front of CVS, 59 Washington St., causing minor injuries. The victim
told officers he was pushed by a woman, later identified as 48-year-old Stacy Butler of Hoboken,
after he refused to give her money. The Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to treat
the victim. A special complaint summons was generated, charging Butler with simple assault.
Shortly after, Sgt. Michael Losurdo and Officer Lombardo responded to Basile’s Pizza, 89
Washington St., on multiple reports of Butler acting disorderly and engaging in tumultuous
behavior with bystanders, yelling and cursing at them. She was arrested for disorderly conduct
charges and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing. She was released to a
local hospital with a summons.
7. On February 23, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Police Officers Brian Kim and Daniela
Simone, responded to Pig and Parrot, 77 Hudson St., on reports of a customer in a dispute with
bar staff. Officers Frank Losurdo and Ronald Kibitlewski also responded. An on-scene
investigation revealed two individuals, later identified as 19-year-old Evangelia Chrisafinis of
Clifton and 20-year-old Elias Chrisanfinis of Clifton, presented fraudulent identification to enter
the bar. While officers were speaking with Evangelia, Elias continued to approach despite
multiple orders by police to step back. He continued to interject himself between officers and the
woman, and at one point placed his hands on one of the officers. Elias was arrested. While
walking him to a patrol vehicle, Elias became irate and began yelling obscenities at the police
officers. Evangelia was arrested for possessing and presenting false identification. Both were
transported to Hoboken Polce Headquarters. Evangelia was charged with providing a false
governmental issued identification card and possession of a false governmental identification
card. Elias was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, providing a false
governmental issued identification card, and possessing a false governmental issued
identification card. Both were processed and released with a summons.
8. On February 23, 2025, at approximately 5:25 p.m., Sgt. John Quinones and Police Officers
Mario Rodriguez, and Ahmed Makshat responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a
shoplifting. When they arrived, they met with store security who had a man, later identified as
61-year-old Frenchie Kyser of Jersey City, in custody. Kyser was observed taking approximately
$133 worth of merchandise before trying to leave without paying. Store security stopped him at
the exit. He was arrested for shoplifting and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where
it was discovered he had a warrant out of Hoboken. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson
County Correctional Facility.
9. On February 23, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Sgt. Harold Milne and Police Officers
David Smentkowski, Vincent Guastini, and Donovan Ortiz, were in the area of CVS, 59
Washington St. When they observed a woman, they recognized as 33-year-old Christine
Castellano of Hoboken and knew she was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear on a criminal
mischief complaint out of Hoboken. They approached the woman and confirmed her identity.
She was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed, and ultimately
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
10. On February 23, 2025, at approximately 8:05 p.m., Sgt. Harold Milne and Police Officer
Donovan Ortiz responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting with an actor
in custody of store security. An on-scene investigation revealed the actor, later identified as 33-
year-old Carla Cobo of Jersey City, was seen placing approximately $44 worth of merchandise
into a bag, and attempting to leave without paying, before security stopped her at the exit. She
was placed under arrest for shoplifting and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. She was
processed and released on a summons.
11. On February 24, 2025, at approximately 2:50 a.m., Police Officers Carmen Benitez and
Frank Losurdo responded to Citizens Bank, 221 River St., on reports of someone sleeping inside
the vestibule. Upon arrival, they located a man, later identified as 24-year-old Tyrese Buckhanon
of Hoboken. He was advised not to return to the vestibule, given a summons for unlicensed entry
of a structure, and released from custody.
12. On February 24, 2025, at approximately 6 a.m., Sgt. Michael Losurdo and Police Officers
Frank Losurdo and Carmen Benitez responded to Marine View Plaza on reports of two people
engaging in sexual acts in a public area and in public view just outside a residential building. The
officers observed the activity and placed both of them under arrest. Police Officers Domenick
Allegretta and David Chicara arrived to assist. The individuals, later identified as 42-year-old
Jaime Caceres of Hoboken and 51-year-old Roxana Catena of Hoboken, were transported to
Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with disorderly conduct and lewdness. Caceres was
found to have an outstanding open warrant out of Union City. Both individuals were released
with a summons and court date.
13. On February 24, 2025, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Police Officers Aaron Font and Jessica
Pizanie were conducting a sweep of a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building on the 500
block of Marshall Drive, when they saw a man lying in a stairwell. They recognized the man as
48-year-old Jeffrey Wheeler of Hoboken, and they knew he had been issued multiple summonses
for defiant trespassing on HHA property in the past. He was placed under arrest and transported
to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was charged with defiant trespassing and released with a
summons.
14. On February 24, 2025, at approximately 11:55 a.m., Police Officer Harry Montalvo was on
patrol on the 300 block of Grand Street when he observed 45-year-old Danielle Torres of
Hoboken, who he knew had a warrant out of Hoboken in connection to two package thefts in
February. A follow-up investigation by Det. Luis Rodriguez and Police Officer Jason Montalvo
identified Torres as the actor. The warrants were confirmed, and Torres was placed under arrest
and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where it was learned she also had a warrant out
of Hudson County. She was processed and transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
15. On February 24, 2025, at approximately 2 p.m., Police Officers Aaron Font and Jessica
Pizanie. were on patrol when they observed a man, they recognized as Klayton Squires and
believed he had a warrant out of Harrison. They stopped him on the 500 block of Sinatra Drive
and the warrant was confirmed. He was placed under arrest. Police Officer Remy Garcia-Marte
arrived on the scene to assist. Squires was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters,
processed, and ultimately released from police custody with a new court date in Harrison.
16. On February 24, 2025, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Police Officers Ahmed Makshat,
Stephen Chowanec, Mario Rodriguez, and Frank Losurdo were conducting a sweep of a
Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building on the 600 block of Sixth Street when they ran into
a man, later identified as 41-year-old Carlos Valle-Rodriguez of West New York, in the
stairwell. Sgt. John Quinones arrived to assist. It was determined he didn’t live in the building
and did not have a valid reason for being inside. Valle-Rodriguez was arrested for defiant
trespassing, transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed, and released from custody
with a summons.
17. On February 24, 2025, at approximately 6:55 p.m., Sgt. Harold Milne and Police Officers
David Smentkowski. Donovan Ortiz, and Vincent Guastini were conducting a sweep of a
Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building on the 300 block of Marshall Drive when they
encountered a man, later identified as 51-year-old Victor Smith of Hoboken, in a stairwell. It was
determined he did not live there, and he could not provide a valid reason for being on HHA
property. He was arrested for defiant trespassing. A search incident to arrest found Smith to be in
possession of drug paraphernalia including two glass cylindrical pipes, both burnt at one end,
wire mesh, two long thin metal rods, and one empty wax fold. Officers also located a second wax
fold that appeared to have a white powdery substance suspected to be CDS heroin. He was
arrested and charged with possession of CDS with intent to use, possession of drug
paraphernalia, and defiant trespassing. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
18. On February 25, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Police Officers Jessica Pizanie and Nasir
Willey responded to Hudson County Superior Court, to take custody of 18-year-old Angel
Arroyo of Jersey City, who was wanted on a warrant out of Hoboken for burglary and hindering
apprehension, in connection with an incident of shots fired on December 19, 2024. The initial
response to the incident resulted in the immediate arrest of 18-year-old Elias Mercado of Kearny.

Anthony Azzoline, of the Street Crimes Unit, resulted in the identification of Arroyo as an
individual of interest for entering a Hoboken Housing Authority building without permission and
hindering the apprehension of Mercado. It was discovered he had a warrant out of Union City.
On February 25, Arroyo was processed at Hoboken Police Headquarters, transported to Union
City for processing there, and ultimately taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
19. On February 25, 2025, at approximately 7:10 p.m., Police Officers Mario Rodriguez, Alyssa
Rivera, David Smentkowski, Donovan Ortiz, Stephen Chowanec, Vincent Guastini, and Ahmed
Makshat responded to Hoboken University Medical Center, 308 Willow Ave., on reports of a
patient physically attacking a staff member. An on-scene investigation revealed a woman, later
identified as 21-year-old Vanessa Juarez of North Bergen, attacked the victim by scratching and
grabbing at her hair and face, leaving multiple scratches on her face. Juarez was arrested and
charged with aggravated assault on a healthcare worker. She was ultimately released on a
summons with a court date.
20. On February 25, 2025, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Police Officer Nasir Willey responded to
Dunkin Donuts, 400 Newark St., on reports of a person acting disorderly inside the shop. Upon
arrival, they located the actor, later identified as 48-year-old Stacey Butler of Hoboken. An on-scene investigation revealed Butler was refused service due to her behavior and then pulled her
pants down in the main service area. While police were on the scene, Butler continued to yell
profanities while other patrons were inside the establishment. Sgt. Roary Miller and Police
Officer Keven De La Cruz arrived on the scene to assist. Butler continued to act disorderly and
was issued a special complaint summons for disorderly conduct. Due to her condition and
behavior, she was transported to an area hospital and released with a summons.
21. On February 25, 2025, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Police Officers Dylan Archilla and
Michael Chen responded to the area of Fourth and Washington Streets to assist Police Officers
Alexander Miller and Keven De La Cruz had stopped a vehicle that had driven the wrong way on
Fourth Street. Lt. Edward Sellick and Sgt. Roary Miller also arrived on the scene. The driver,
later identified as 34-year-old Samia Asdi-Alaoui of Linden, was asked to step out of the car and
had difficulty answering simple questions properly. She was given a standardized field sobriety
test, after which she was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to
Police Headquarters for processing. She was also issued a summons for refusal to submit a
breath test, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, and reckless driving. As per John’s Law,
Asdi-Alaou was later released into the custody of a responsible party.
22. On February 26, 2025, at approximately 8:40 a.m., 72-year-old Rene Martinez-Calderon of
Hoboken arrived at Hoboken Police Headquarters to be processed on charges of package theft in
connection to a theft that occurred on January 13, 2025. A follow-up investigation led by Police
Officer Jason Montalvo identified Martinez-Calderon as the actor and he was mailed a summons.
After being processed, Martinez-Calderon was released from police custody.
23. On February 26, 2025, at approximately1:30 p.m., Police Officer Nasir Willey was on e-bicycle enforcement detail on the 300 block of Washington Street when he observed an electric
moped style motorcycle committing multiple violations, including failure to yield to pedestrians,
failure to observe a traffic device, and improper passing. Officer Willey pulled the driver, later
identified as 38-year-old Magaye Kaitre of Long Island City, NY over on the 100 block of
Washington Street. Kaitre didn’t have a driver's license, and it was discovered the license plate
on the moped was stolen. Sgt. Harold Milne and Police Officers Enrico Gnassi, Joseph
DiMartino, Donovan Ortiz, and Vincent Guastini arrived on the scene to assist. Kaietre was
arrested for receiving stolen property and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he
was processed and issued summonses for failure to observe signal, failure to exhibit document
insurance, failure to exhibit document registration, unlicensed driver, reckless driving,
unregistered vehicle, failure to yield the right of way of pedestrians, uninsured motorist,
improper passing over a double yellow, and unclear fictitious plate. He was released on the
summonses.
24. On February 26, 2025, at approximately 3:35 p.m. Police Officers Alexander Miller,
Michael Chen, Nathaniel Arocho, and Daniel Barron responded to the Hoboken University
Medical Center, 308 Willow Ave., on reports of an unruly patient. An on-scene investigation
revealed the patient, later identified as 49-year-old Ferdinand Castro-Jaime of Jersey City,
became irate and tried to leave the hospital without being discharged. He also picked up his
urinal, drank some of the contents, and then spit the liquid into the faces of hospital security staff
and a visitor. Hospital staff restrained Castro-Jaime until police officers arrived and detained
him. Citizen complaints were issued, and a court is to be determined.
