Pedestrian Killed by a Motor Vehicle In Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that on March 7, 2025, at approximately 10:11 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Main Street and Madison Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a motor vehicle accident. The driver of a gray-colored Jeep Cherokee struck a pedestrian. The victim, a 60-year-old man from Paterson, was subsequently pronounced deceased. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee was located on scene.

This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
