1. On January 23, 2025, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Sgt. Michael Losurdo was on the 400
block of Marshall Drive, when he saw a man, later identified 32-year-old Gustavo Duarte of
Jersey City, on Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) property. When Duarte, who was riding a
bicycle, noticed the patrol car, he began to speed up and Sgt. Losurdo stopped him at the Ninth
Street Light Rail station. Police Officers Frank Losurdo and Ronald Kibitlewski were also on the
scene. Duarte could not provide a valid reason for being on HHA property and he was placed
under arrest for criminal trespassing. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for
processing and later released with a summons and a court date.
2. On January 23, 2025, at approximately 12 p.m., 47-year-old Sean Lackie of Hoboken arrived
at Hoboken Police Headquarters to be processed on charges of theft of package from residential
property, in connection to a report filed on December 20, 2024. A follow-up investigation by
Police Officer Joshua Campoverde identified Lackie as the actor. Lackie was processed on the
charges and released from police custody.
3. On January 23, 2025, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Police Officer Tyrone Huggins was in the
area of Newark and Grand Streets when he saw a vehicle improperly back up and turn into the
intersection, forcing other cars to stop. The officer pulled the car over on the 300 block of
Newark Street and approached the driver, later identified as 34-year-old Raymond Hutchinson-Hines of Jersey City. When asked for his information and documents, he could not provide a
valid driver's license. Police Officers Andrias Bonilla and Christopher Soto arrived on the scene
to assist. It was learned Hines had two outstanding warrants; one out of Hoboken and another out
of Hudson County. He was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters
where he was processed on the warrants and issued summonses for unlicensed driving and
obstructing traffic. He was later transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
4. On January 23, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Police Officers Harry Montalvo and Rose
Kanan were on patrol when they observed a man, they identified as 58-year-old Tony Watson of
Bayonne, on the 300 block of Jackson Street. They knew Watson had a warrant out of Hoboken.
It was confirmed he had two warrants out of Hoboken for burglary; one on January 16, 2025 and
the second on January 20, 2025. He was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police
Headquarters, for processing on charges of burglary and theft of package from residential
property. He was later transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
5. On January 24, 2024, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Sgt. Michael Losurdo observed three
people on the front steps of a Hoboken Housing Authority building on the 400 block of Marshall
Drive, attempting to gain entry. Police Officers Nasir Wiley and Daniella Simone conducted a
building sweep, due to recent complaints of non-residents entering the building to engage in
narcotic use and to sleep in the stairwells. They saw the three people gaining entry after ringing
multiple doorbells and stopped them on the seventh floor where it was confirmed none of them
lived in the building. Police Officers Mark Mooreman, Carmen Benitez, Ricky Truppner, Anish
Bhisey and Domenick Allegretta arrived on the scene to assist. The three people, later identified
as 52-year-old Ricky Weaver of Jersey City, 34-year-old David Doria of Jersey City, and 30-
year-old Crystal Bent of Hoboken, were placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest of
Weaver located a push rod, a broken crack pipe burnt on both ends, and a white rock-like
substance believed to be CDS crack cocaine. All were transported to Hoboken Police
Headquarters. Weaver was charged with defiant trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia,
and possession of CDS crack cocaine. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility. Bent was charged with defiant trespassing and hindering apprehension for providing a
false name at first. She was released on a summons. Doria was charged with defiant trespassing
and released on a summons. He was also found to have a warrant out of Jersey City and given a
new court date on that warrant.
6. On January 24, 2025, at approximately, 9:55 p.m., Sgt. William Collins and Police Officer
Nicholas Protopapadakis were on patrol when they saw a man they identified as 45-year-old
Alexis Rivera of Trenton, on the 1000 block of Clinton Street and knew had active warrants out
of Hoboken. It was confirmed Rivera had four warrants for his arrest for incidents of burglary,
package theft, and possession of burglary tools on multiple occasions. Those cases were
investigated by Police Officer Anthony Ingraffia who identified Rivera as one of two suspects.
The second, 34-year-old Christopher Peselli of Hoboken, was previously arrested and charged.
When Rivera was arrested, a search incident to arrest located a glass pipe with bunt ends, two
metal push rods, and an inner part of a pen, which is often used as a push rod. Rivera was
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, and it was discovered he also had a warrant out of
Hudson County for burglary. He was further charged with possession of drug paraphernalia,
processed, and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
7. On January 24, 2025, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Sgt. John Quinones and Police Officers
Stephen Chowanec, John Rodriguez, and Ahmed Makshat responded to Metropolis, 96 River St.,
on reports of a disorderly female. When they arrived, Lt. Michael Costello was already outside
the business, with the actor, later identified as 26-year-old Kiala Donald of the Bronx. An on-
scene investigation revealed Donald was seen ingesting CDS by bar employees and was asked to
leave, which she did. When Donald was told she needed to be evaluated by the Hoboken
Volunteer Ambulance Corps before she could leave due to her condition, she tried to walk away.
When officers tried to assist, Donald lunged at one, attempting to hit the officer. When she was
told she was under arrest she resisted and after being handcuffed, kicked one of the officers in
the thigh. A search incident to arrest located a small bag containing a white powdery crystalized
substance believed to be CDS cocaine. Donald was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters
and charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, possession of
CDS, and disorderly conduct. She was released from custody.
8. On January 25, 2025, at approximately 4:05 a.m., Sgt. Michael Losurdo and Police Officers
Carmen Benitez and Nasir Willey were on patrol on the 400 block of Marshall Drive when they
saw two people exiting a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building, who did not live there.
Both individuals, later identified as 32-year-old Denise Rivera of Hoboken and 50-year-old
Phillip Realpe of Hoboken, refused to give officers their names and identification. They were
placed under arrest for defiant trespassing. A search incident to arrest of Rivera located multiple
glass cylinder pipes used to smoke or ingest CDS, two blades, and multiple hypodermic needles.
Realpe was found to be in possession of a glass cylinder pipe and a push rod. They were both
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. Realpe was charged with criminal trespassing,
possession with intent to use, and possession of hypodermic syringes for use of CDS. He was
found to have open warrants out of North Bergen and Secaucus. Rivera was charged with
criminal trespassing, possession with the intent to use, and possession of hypodermic syringe for
use of CDS., She was found to have an open warrant out of Hoboken. Both Realpe and Rivera
were ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
9. On January 25, 2025, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Police Officers Shyenna Vega and
Anthony Olivera responded to the area of Third and Monroe Streets on reports of a man yelling
and screaming. They were unable to find the individual, but another call came in about a half an
hour later, reporting a man with a similar description hiding behind a car and trash can. The man
was located and identified as 25-year-old Corey Otte of Hoboken. It was discovered he had
warrants out of Hudson County and Passaic County, both for aggravated assault. He was
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed on the warrants, and ultimately taken to
the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
10. On January 26, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Sgt. Robert Roman and Police Officers
Marc Lombardi and Nicholas Losurdo responded to Birch, 92 River St., on reports of an assault.
When they arrived, they saw New Jersey Transit Police Officers and bar security trying to
subdue a man, later identified as 23-year-old Abraham Knowlton of Skillman. An on-scene
investigation revealed Knowlton had punched a woman in the face while standing outside of the
bar. He also punched a bouncer who tried to help, and attempted to hit another one, but missed.
Knowlton was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was
charged with disorderly conduct and ultimately released with a summons.
11. On January 26, 2025, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Police Officers Valentino Salgado and
Zachary Guido were on patrol in the area of Fourth Street and Marshall Drive when they saw a
car driving the wrong way down a one-way street. They pulled the vehicle over on the 400 block
of Marshall Drive. When the driver, later identified as 28-year-old Andrew Ciolli of
Woodbridge, got out of the car officers told him multiple times to stay inside, but he ignored
those commands. When officers approached him, they smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage
emanating from his breath. Sgt. Michael Straten arrived on the scene to assist. A field sobriety
test was performed, after which Ciolli was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.
Officers located a mini bottle of Fireball in the center console of his car. Ciolli was transported to
Hoboken Police Headquarters, where he refused to provide breath samples. He was issued
summonses for multiple traffic violations, open container, and driving while intoxicated. As per
John’s Law, Ciolli was released into the custody of a responsible party.
12. On January 26, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Sgt. Roary Miller and Police Officer
Nasir Willey responded to CVS, 59 Washington St., on reports of a shoplifter who was in the
custody of the store manager. An on-scene investigation revealed the actor, later identified as 38-
year-old Alysha Noel of Jersey City, was seen putting merchandise in a reusable bag and then
walking toward the exit without paying, before she was stopped. Noel was placed under arrest
and a search incident to arrest located a glass cyclical pipe commonly used to smoke CDS crack
cocaine. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where she refused to be
fingerprinted. She was charged with shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to
submit to fingerprinting. She was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
13. On January 27, 2025, at approximately 5:45 a.m., Police Officers Zackary Guido and
Jayden Gonzalez conducted a motor vehicle stop on the 400 block of Monroe Street, after
observing a car fail to fully stop at a stop sign. The driver, later identified as 39-year-old
Lizabeth Bolinger of Bayonne, was observed to have disheveled clothing, glossy eyes, and
slurred speech. Officers also smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her
breath. Police Officers Ricky Truppner and Nicklas Valerius responded to conduct a standard
field sobriety test, after which Bolinger was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.
She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where she refused to submit a breath
sample. She was given additional summonses for reckless driving, unregistered vehicle, failure
to stop or yield, failure to exhibit registration and insurance, driving after driver's license
suspension, and refusal to submit breath sample. As per John’s Law, she was released into the
custody of a responsible party.
14. On January 27, 2025, at approximately 5:55 p.m., Sgt. Daniel Grossi and Police Officers
John Lawton and Remy Garcia-Marte, responded to Hoboken University Hospital, where a staff
member found suspected CDS and drug paraphernalia on an individual, later identified as 51-
year-old Victor Smith of Hoboken. Officers identified the items as one wax fold with suspected
CDS heroine, one empty wax fold, two plastic containers used to store CDS, three cylindrical
glass tubes with burn marks, one thin long metal rod, wire mesh, and one small piece of metal
often used to pack glass cylinders with CDS. Smith was placed under arrest and charged with
possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of CDS. It was discovered he had three warrants
out of Hoboken and two from Weehawken. He was given new court dates on the warrants and
ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
15. On January 27, 2025, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Police Officer Shawn Sodora responded
to the area of Washington Street and Eighth Street on reports of a man standing on top of a
vehicle while vomiting. When he arrived, a man jumped onto the hood of the officer’s patrol car.
The man, later identified as 44-year-old Angelo Zamora-Curtis of Hoboken, was told multiple
times to get off the patrol car but refused. Sgt. Roary Miller, Sgt. Daniel Grossi, and Police
Officer Matthew Bonanno arrived on the scene to assist. Zamora-Curtis was removed from the
hood of the car while screaming and kicking his legs, which he continued to do during a search
incident to arrest. As officers attempted to put him in a patrol car, Zamora-Curtis extended his
legs in the hinges of the door, to keep himself from being placed in the car. He was eventually
secured and transported to an area hospital. During transport he began kicking the windows and
hitting his head into the plexiglass window separating the front and back seats. He continued to
kick and then tried to bite officers at the hospital. He was charged with aggravated assault,
interference with transport, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and disorderly person. He was
processed at Hoboken Police Headquarters and ultimately transported to the Hudson County
Correctional Facility.
16. On January 28, 2025, at approximately 10:55 a.m., Police Officers Leroy Sherrill and
Michael Chen observed a man they recognized as 58-year-old Tony Watson of Bayonne walking
on the 400 block of Harrison Street. They knew Watson had an outstanding arrest warrant. A
search incident to arrest located a glass pipe with burnt ends, typically used to ingest CDS.
Watson was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with possession of drug
paraphernalia. He was also processed on a Jan. 27, 2025, warrant for attempted burglary. He was
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
17. On January 29, 2025, at approximately 12:05 p.m., Police Officers Jessica Pizanie and
Teddy Santiago were on patrol of the Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) and saw two men on
the 200 block of Jackson Street. Officers recognized both men from prior encounters involving
narcotics. When they made eye contact with officers, both men looked away. It was discovered
that one of the men, identified as 37-year-old Alexander Malave of Jersey City, had a warrant out
of Jersey City for robbery. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and later to the
Jersey City Police Department for processing on the warrant there.
18. On January 29, 2025, at approximately 7:10 p.m., Sgt. Adam Colon and Police Officer
Brandon Cappelluti were on patrol of the 300 block of Jackson Street, when they saw a man who
they knew was 60-year-old Charles Bryant of Jersey City and new he had active warrants for his
arrest. Police Officers Leroy Sherrill and Brian Kim arrived on the scene to assist. The warrants
were confirmed, and Bryant was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest found him to be
in possession of three glassine wax folds containing suspected CDS heroin, two glass cylindrical
tubes with burnt ends, two copper mesh balls, and one ripped glassine wax-like fold commonly
used to carry CDS heroin. Bryant was charged with possession of CDS, possession with intent to
use drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and processed on
warrants including one out of Hoboken for theft and one out of Hudson County for violating sex
offender registration requirements. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County
Correctional Facility.
