2/8/2023 8:29 PM, (Suspicious Persons)
A caller reported 2 parties sleeping in the lobby of a West Passaic Street bank. Patrol located the parties, a 45-year-old male and a 72-year-old female, and advised them that they are not permitted in the business after hours. Information for local shelters was provided.

2/9/2023 11:23 AM, (Domestic Violence Arrest)
A caller from William Street reported a household member attempting to assault her and another family member. Patrol responded, located a 28-year-old male suspect, and placed him under arrest for simple assault. A restraining order was not requested and the arrestee was released.

2/9/2023 2:12 PM, (Theft)
The owner of a Route 17 "Wig" store reported the theft of a hair piece valued at over $3000. The female suspect left in a Pink Porsche SUV with New York registration. Detectives identified the actor and issued a 3rd degree theft arrest warrant.

2/12/2023 4:15 PM, (Property Damage)
A vehicle owner reported damage to the side of her vehicle. She believed the vehicle was "keyed" while parked at a West Passaic Street supermarket. Surveillance video was unable to display the vehicle in question, a report was taken.

2/12/2023 6:31 PM, (Welfare Check)
A caller reported a female party yelling in the middle of the street on Howard Avenue. Patrol located the irate female who locked her keys inside a vehicle. The motorist advised that AAA was already summoned, and she agreed to lower the volume of her displeasure.

2/12/2023 11:00 PM, (Breach of Peace)
A 911 call and panic alarm was made from an Uber app located on Essex Street. Patrol responded and found an Uber driver and his passenger engaged in an argument. The passenger stated he was intoxicated from a Super Bowl party and was arguing with his driver. The driver stated he no longer wished to transported the aggressive passenger. A new driver was requested and both parties went separate ways. It is unknown which team the passenger rooted for…..

2/14/2023 1:14 AM, (Breach of Peace)
A caller reported a dispute on Central Avenue. Patrol responded and located 2 males engaged in an argument. One party stated he was a passenger in a Lyft and became angry at the driver because he did not speak English. The passenger agreed to find another ride sharing service and wished to report the incident to Lyft.

2/14/2023 10:33 AM, (DWI Arrest)
Patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 17 North. The vehicle possessed a fictitious license plate. The driver, a 37-year-old male from Passaic, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested on scene and transported to headquarters where he refused an Alcotest submission. He was issued several summonses and released to a family member. The vehicle was impounded.

2/14/2023 6:45 PM, (Identity Theft)
A resident of Fairfield Drive responded to headquarters to report he was the victim of identity theft. He was advised by a loan officer that two delinquent cellular telephone accounts appeared on his credit check. The complainant reported he has never owned a Sprint or AT&T account. Detectives were assigned.


A charge is not a conviction. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.
