2/15/2023 12:41 PM, (Shoplifting)
Loss prevention from a West Passaic Street supermarket reported a shoplifter in custody. The actor stole $255 worth of groceries. The 56-year-old male actor from Garfield was banned from the store and loss prevention will pursue complaints at a later date.

2/15/2023 2:13 PM, (Animal Complaint)
A caller reported finding a small black and white dog on Howard Avenue. A social media post with the dog's image was dispersed and the owner quickly phoned headquarters. "Spanky" was promptly returned to his owner.

2/17/2023 2:56 AM, (DWI Arrest)
A 911 caller reported being disoriented on West End, and requiring police assistance. Patrol located the 19-year-old female from Harrington Park, and observed severe damage to the vehicle. The driver was determined to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance. She was charged with several motor vehicle violations, including Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, and eventually committed to a local hospital.

2/18/2023 12:57 AM, (Aided)
A male caller from an Essex Street convenience store reported suffering from homelessness. Patrol located the 42-year-old male, and offered shelter services. Ultimately the party requested transport to a local hospital for stomach issues.

2/18/2023 8:34 AM, (Suspicious Occurrence)
A caller from Howard Avenue reported suspicious activity on his Ring Doorbell. On two occasions a male party walked across his front lawn during the early morning hours. A review of the footage indicated the person was likely a juvenile visiting or "sneaking" into a neighbors' / friends' home. The matter was documented and the complainant was requested to monitor this activity.

2/18/2023 7:13 PM, (Breach of Peace)
A patrol officer located a vehicle parked haphazardly on Fairfield Drive. A female party located inside the vehicle was upset over a recent argument with her husband. The husband left the vehicle and his family behind. The wife further explained that she was uncomfortable driving the current vehicle, a BMW X3, because she normally drives a smaller vehicle. Patrol allowed the party to park the compact SUV on private property and await a cab service.

2/19/2023 10:34 AM, (Weapons Offense)
A motor vehicle stop was conducted on West Passaic Street for equipment violations. An on-scene investigation led to a positive indication from a Narcotics K-9. A subsequent search revealed a .380 handgun in the vehicle trunk. The 31- year-old male driver from Newark was arrested, charge with multiple weapons offenses, and committed to the Bergen County Jail.

2/20/2023 09:18 AM, (Warrant Arrest)
Patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rochelle Avenue. During the course of the stop, the driver, a 52-year-old male from Elmwood Park, was found to have an open NCIC warrant for a domestic violence case. The subject was taken into custody, issued several motor vehicle summonses, and turned over to Elmwood Park Police.

2/21/2023 3:19 PM, (Adult Arrest)
The U.S. Marshalls arrested a male party in Penns Grove, NJ for offenses committed in Rochelle Park. The charges stemmed from a YouTube prank turned assault. The male, a 19-year-old from the Bronx, was turned over to the RPPD. Township Detectives processed the male and committed him to the Bergen County Jail.


A charge is not a conviction. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.
