3/1/2023 1:158 PM, (DWI Arrest)
A Patrolman located a vehicle travelling slowly on West Oldis Street. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the driver was found to be "drooling" on himself. The odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected; however, the driver was unable to stand, thus unable to take field sobriety tests. The 29-year-old male driver from Elmwood Park was arrested and charged with DUI and failure to submit breath samples. Due to his suspected high level of intoxication, he was turned over to a local hospital.

3/1/2023 10:04 PM, (Breach of Peace)
Patrol was dispatched to a West Passaic Street location for a reported dispute on a transit bus. Officers located a passenger and driver arguing about stop locations and the "tone" of the passenger. The passenger was removed from the bus and waited for a different mode of transportation.

3/2/2023 1:32 AM, (Suspicious Person)
A patrol officer was conducting business checks and located a male party sleeping in the lobby of a West Passaic Street business. The male, a 36-year-old from Saddle Brook, was advised that he could not rest on private property, and was sent on his way.

3/4/2023 4:29 PM, (Missing Person)
Teaneck Police issued an alert about a missing person last known to be in the area of Maywood. A patrol Sergeant reported locating a male party matching the description. A Teaneck Police Officer responded to the scene and confirmed the party was in fact the person in question. The 25-year-old male was reunited with family.

3/5/2023 11:19 AM, (Commitment)
A caller reported a male party screaming in front of a West Passaic Street apartment complex. The male was located and found to be highly intoxicated. The 45-year-old male who recently arrived from Ohio, was committed to a local hospital.

3/5/2023 4:38 PM, (Weapons Offense)
A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 17 North. In speaking with the officer, the driver admitted to possessing a shotgun and ammunition in the vehicle. The driver, a 31-year-old male from Wisconsin, recently arrived in New Jersey to help a friend, and decided to carry his shotgun improperly. The subject was arrested, charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, and released pending a Central Judicial Processing date.

3/6/2023 1:47 AM, (Breach of Peace)
Patrol located two males arguing in the roadway near Route 17 South. It was determined that a husband and wife were arguing, and the husband decided to leave the vehicle. The adult son of the male arrived on scene to drive his father home, and his father began arguing with him as well. Alcohol and a dinner party were the source of the arguments, all parties were safely sent on their way.

3/6/2023 7:12 PM, (Harassment)
A resident walked in to headquarters to report harassing text messages. The victim received several messages revolving around her husband and possible unfaithful activity. The source of the phone numbers appeared to be "spoofed". The victim was provided with her legal options and a detective was assigned to research the source of the messages.

In addition, a total of (10) suspicious persons/vehicles were vetted and (56) motor vehicle stops were conducted in a 7 day span.


A charge is not a conviction. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.
