3/14/2023 10:27 PM, (Arrest - Adult)
Patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Essex Street with a faulty headlight. A motor vehicle stop ensued and the driver provided a false name. Consent to search the vehicle was requested and granted. The search revealed a government ID with the suspects' true identity and a chocolate bar containing illegal "shrooms". The 22 year old male actor from Spring Valley, NY, was arrested and charged with Hindering Apprehension and Possession of C.D.S..

3/15/2023 1:12 PM, (Property Damage)
A motorist on Overlook Avenue reported damage to her Tesla. Weather conditions, specifically high winds, blew a garbage dumpster into the Tesla, causing damage to the passenger side front fender. A report was taken.

3/15/2023 1:26 PM, (Breach of Peace)
A male party walked in to headquarters to report a dispute at a West Passaic Street supermarket. The male reported parking his vehicle and observing a female party striking his vehicle with an open hand. He questioned her and was told she could not fit into her vehicle. He decided to move to a different parking spot, however, as he left, the female motioned with her hand in the shape of gun. Each party went separate ways for the remainder of their shopping trip.

3/16/2023 10:51 AM, (Fraud)
A resident of Chestnut Street responded to headquarters to report her Chase Bank account was compromised. The illegal access occurred in New York and the bank was investigating. Complainant requested a report only, no investigation required.

3/16/2023 6:05 PM, (Unlawful Dumping)
The commander of a West Passaic Street club reported an unknown actor dumped (8) bottles of anti-freeze in the clubs' dumpster. The actor left behind a cardboard box with his name and address labeled on it. A subsequent investigation led to the location of the actor who believed the action was legal. The 44-year-old male resident of Ridgewood returned and cleaned up the liquid.

3/17/2023 12:25 AM, (Mutual Aid- Fire)
A patrol officer observed a train travelling east at the Rochelle Avenue and Railroad Avenue crossing. The second to last train car was on fire. The train was stopped in Maywood where Rochelle Park FD assisted in extinguishing the flames.

3/17/2023 9:14 AM, (Commitment)
A West Passaic Street hotel manager reported an unwanted party in the lobby. The male, a 51-year-old from Glen Rock, was experiencing domestic issues and had nowhere to sleep. The hotel permitted him to stay overnight in the lobby, however, he wore out his welcome. The patient requested transport to a local hospital.

3/17/2023 11:37 AM, (Harassment)
Female complainant from Oak Street reported receiving sexually explicit text messages from an unknown party. The number was blocked and documentation was requested from the victim.

3/17/2023 11:25 PM, (Eluding)
A patrolman observed a vehicle attempt to exit through the entrance of a Rochelle Avenue convenience store. A motor vehicle stop was attempted, however the driver fled westbound onto the Garden State Parkway. A registration was obtained and the driver was identified as a 31 year old male from Nanuet, NY.. The driver had (5) outstanding warrants for his arrest. His actions led to a 6th warrant issued for his arrest. The actor is currently wanted.

3/18/2023 2:15 AM, (DWI Arrest)
A patrol officer observed a rear end motor vehicle accident on Rochelle Avenue. The driver of the first vehicle was suspected of drunk driving, and failed field sobriety tests. The 26-year-old female driver from Paramus was arrested and charged with DWI.

3/18/2023 10:25 AM, (Suspicious Occurrence)
A caller from A-Harvey Ave. reported being followed home from Hudson County. Patrol located the vehicle in question and found the driver to be a private investigator. The matter was documented and the caller was advised of police findings.

3/19/2023 1:01 AM, (Welfare Check)
A caller reported a highly intoxicated female attempting to enter her car outside of a West Passaic Street restaurant. Patrol located the vehicle with the trunk wide open, however, the driver was not present. She was located checking in to a nearby hotel, all agreed this was a wise choice. The trunk was secured by police.

3/20/2023 2:42 PM, (Fraud)
A male party walked in to headquarters to report he paid $500 on a gift card and turned the code over to an escort. The escort or party posing as one, took the card numbers and never provided a service. The victim was advised that this is a common internet scam. Police warn never to pass gift card information over the phone or internet, especially if the services being sought are illegal prostitution services.

In addition, (12) suspicious persons/vehicles were vetted and (55) motor vehicle stops were conducted in a 7-day span.


A charge is not a conviction. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.
