4/10/2023 9:40 PM, (Juvenile Complaint)
Paramus PD reported juveniles throwing rocks at vehicles in the area of Plaza Way. Responding patrol units reported the juveniles fled and no victims reported any damage to vehicles.

4/11/2023 2:52 PM, (Narcotics Arrest)
A patrolman conducted a motor vehicle stop on High Street for several equipment violations. Drug paraphernalia was observed inside the vehicle and a County K-9 provided a positive indication for narcotics. A subsequent search led to the discovery of several different forms of anabolic steroids. The driver, a 41-yearold male from Pine Brook, was arrested, charged, and committed to the Bergen County Jail.

4/12/2023 11:15 AM, (Animal Complaint)
A resident of Meakin Avenue reported an excessive bee problem. The resident reported a large number of bees coming from the gutter of a Hoffman Avenue residence. Patrol confirmed the large bee population and followed up with the residents in question. An exterminator was recommended.

4/13/2023 12:28 PM, (Fraud / Arrest -Adult)
A Rochelle Avenue bank reported a possible fraud in progress. Responding patrol and detectives located a female party attempting to exit the bank. An onscene investigation revealed the female to be in possession of fraudulent checks. The party, a 21-year-old female from Teaneck, was arrested, charged with attempted theft by deception, and released with a court date.

4/14/2023 1:43 PM, (Arrest Adult)
Patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rochelle Avenue for an equipment violation. The officer observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and a search was conducted. The driver, a 45-year-old male from Teaneck, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia (heroin), and released on a summons.

4/14/2023 6:44 PM, (Suspicious Occurrence)
A resident reported finding a lost puppy he believes to reside on Chestnut Street. Patrol responded to the residence in question and found the front door ajar. The home was cleared with no signs of forced entry. The wandering puppy was secured in the home and the resident later phoned stating all was in order and the door was an oversight.

4/15/2023 10:38 AM, (Arrest-Adult)
Patrol observed male panhandling in front of a West Passaic Street strip mall. The male, a 39-year-old from Hackensack, was found to possess drug paraphernalia (crack/cocaine pipe), as well as several open warrants. The arrestee was charged and turned over to the "wanting" jurisdictions.

4/17/2023 2:41 AM, (Juvenile Complaint)
Headquarters received a SPEN message from Paramus PD reporting a lost juvenile believed to be in the Township. Patrol located the 16-year-old female from Little Falls. She was found to be purposely abandoned by a group of kind teenage friends. The juvenile was transported to headquarters and safely reunited with her mother.

4/18/2023 8:41 AM, (Harassment)
A female complainant reported receiving harassing text messages from a coworker whom resides on James Street. The male actor stated via text, that he will "lay her out". The female only wished to document the actions and she was advised on the civilian complaint process.

4/19/2023 3:47 AM, (Theft)
A Route 17 gas station employee reported a theft of $87.00 worth of the fuel. The suspect vehicle, a NY registered Infiniti, fled on Route 17. Detectives were provided with a vehicle registration and are investigating.

4/19/2023 10:25 PM, (Theft)
A resident of Susquehanna Ave. reported dropping her vehicle at a mechanic shop and learning that the catalytic convertor was stolen. The victimized vehicle is a 2005 Honda Accord. Surveillance cameras in the area are being reviewed.

4/20/2023 1:00 PM, (Animal Complaint / Breach of Peace)
A patrol officer located a loose dog in a West Passaic Street parking lot. The dog was claimed by (2) gentleman standing near a Toyota Prius. The men were immediately argumentative and confrontational. The males refused to provide identification and continued arguing with the officer. Eventually the subjects were identified and issued summonses for motor vehicle violations and possession a loose canine. The vehicle registration was suspended and it was impounded.

4/21/2023 10:16 AM, (Theft)
A West Passaic Street building manager reported a Fedex drop box was burglarized. Several victims reported their packages did not arrive at their destinations. Detectives reviewed surveillance and connected the actors to crimes committed in surrounding jurisdictions, complaints are pending.

4/22/2023 4:23 PM, (Suspicious Occurrence)
A female caller reported a vehicle with NY tags pulled up to her while she was walking on North Drive. The male asked her to look at his baby in the backseat. She declined and he sped away in a black SUV. Patrol was unable to locate the vehicle and the strange request was documented.

4/23/2023 12:43 AM, (Breach of Peace)
A West Passaic Street restaurant employee report a dispute between a server and a cook. The argument arose from a steak complaint and ended when the cook raised a knife to the server. Management fired the knife wielding chef and requested no further police action. Matter documented.

In addition, (20) suspicious persons/vehicles were vetted and (82) motor vehicle stops were conducted in a 14-day span.


A charge is not a conviction. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.
