11/16/2024 7:08 AM, (Domestic Violence - Arrest)
A caller reported a dispute between two females at a Route 17 gas station. Patrol arrived on scene and met with 2 Hackensack residents, one of which was bleeding from the chin. Officers learned that a 32-year-old female bit another female and she was subsequently arrested. The female arrestee, was processed, charged, and released.

11/16/2024 10:17 PM, (Suspicious Occurrence)
A caller reported a loud bang on her door and ringing of her doorbell. Officers checked doorbell cameras and believe this was a case of "ring and run", a popular 80's game phased out by surveillance cameras.

11/17/2024 12:11 AM (DWI- Arrest)
Paramus Police reported a 2-car motor vehicle accident on Essex Street. Patrol met with the vehicle occupants and found a female to be standing roadside wearing only a bra, with her pants halfway down her legs. The female, a 36-year-old resident of Lodi, was unable to perform field sobriety tests, and was arrested under DUI suspicion. The arrestee was issued several summonses including failure to submit breath samples.

11/18/2024 1:00 PM, (Trespassing)
A resident of Colling Avenue reported an unknown female entered her property. The suspect approached exterior recycling bins and removed plastic recyclables. Officers reviewed surveillance footage, and identified a potential suspect. Criminal complaints for trespassing are pending.

11/18/2024 10:18 PM, (Breach of Peace)
A caller from a West Passaic Street apartment reported a dispute with his wife. Responding officers learned that the dispute was verbal in nature and both parties agreed to separate for the evening.

11/19/2024 1:57 PM, (Arrest - Adult)
A patrol Sergeant conducted a motor vehicle stop on Plaza Way. The driver, a 27-year-old male from Newark, possessed an NCIC warrant from Burlington County for multiple shoplifting cases. The subject was arrested and turned over to the Burlington County Sheriff's Department.

11/19/2024 2:54 PM, (Adult / Commitment)
A caller reported his wife was entrenched in a mental health crisis. The subject was currently travelling to a Route 17 dispensary. Officers were able to intercept the Waldwick resident and request a mental health evaluation.

11/19/2024 3:45 PM, (Breach of Peace)
A caller reported a dispute between parents at a Rochelle Avenue school. Responding patrol learned that two Pre-K children were playing on the playground. One pushed another which led to a verbal dispute among mothers. Police settled the dispute and both residents left the area.

11/22/2024 8:49 AM, (Aided)
A caller reported she was "drugged" and transported to as Passaic Street hotel. Officers met with a 22-year-old female resident of Paterson. The female stated she went to a night club in Clifton with 3 friends, and awoke in Rochelle Park with $1,000 missing. Officers spoke with the friends and learned that they all voluntarily traveled to the hotel and spent the $1,000 on her bar tab, no police action necessary.

11/22/2024 8:18 PM, (Suspicious Occurrence - Weapons Offense)
A caller reported hearing (4) loud bangs in the area of Marion Avenue. Responding units located a vehicle with bullet holes and shell casings in the roadway. The area was secured, RPPD detectives, the Sheriff's Department BCI Unit, and Bergen County Prosecutor's Office detectives were summoned. The RPPD Detective Bureau is actively investigating.

11/23/2024 12:09 PM, (Domestic Violence Order)
A resident of Forest Place reported a case of harassment stemming from an ex-boyfriend. A municipal judge issued a temporary restraining order and the department where the actor resides was able to serve the order and remove a firearm from the residence under domestic violence laws.

11/24/2024 11:49 AM, (Arrest - Adult)
Headquarters received a report of a domestic dispute on North Drive. Patrol located a victim walking on Schlosser Drive. Police learned that two adult brothers engaged in a physical fight, the younger of which displayed visible signs of injury. A 24-year-old male resident was arrested and charged with simple assault, he was released pending a court appearance.

11/25/2024 9:12 AM, (Shoplifting)
The manager from a Rochelle Avenue pharmacy reported a shoplifter just fled the store. The male suspect described as having a full beard, dreadlocks, wearing a red back pack and a construction vest, entered the face cream section and filled his backpack. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect fled on foot, southbound of Rochelle Avenue. Approximately $900 in proceeds were reported to detectives.

11/26/2024 3:28 AM, (Breach of Peace)
Paramus PD reported a dispute between husband and wife on Central Avenue. Patrol located a 47-year-old female locked out of the residence. Officers spoke with both parties, learned a verbal dispute occurred, allowed the female to enter the residence, and permitted a 48-year-old male to make other sleeping arrangements. No protection orders requested.

11/26/2024 11:36 PM, (Suspicious Person)
Building management reported a male party sleeping in the hallway of a West Passaic Street office complex. The male, an employee, was unable to acquire a room at a local hotel so he slept in the hallway prior to his shift. The male was advised of hours for operation.

11/27/2024 9:30 PM, (Harassment)
A caller reported a dispute among two females at a West Passaic Street supermarket. The complainant, a 45-year-old female from Maywood reported being confronted by an ex-girlfriend. The aggressor already left the scene and the complainant refused a protection order.

11/28/2024 4:59 PM, (Theft)
A resident of Saddle Brook walked in to headquarters to report a wallet theft. The complainant stated that on the previous day, 11/27, two unknown males bumped into her shopping cart at a West Passaic Street supermarket. A short time later she realized her wallet was missing, and several fraudulent charges were attempted. Detectives reviewed surveillance footages and distributed images of the actors.

11/30/2024 3:15 PM, (Criminal Mischief)
A resident of Fair Lawn reported returning to her vehicle to find a long key scratch in the door. The vehicle, parked at a Passaic Street supermarket, was parked closely to another vehicle. Detectives reviewed surveillance footage and identified a suspect. He was issued a summons for criminal mischief and assigned a court date.

In addition, (19) suspicious persons/vehicles were vetted and (123) motor vehicle stops were conducted in a 16-day span.


A charge is not a conviction. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.
