1. On February 11th, 2025, the Guttenberg Police Department was contacted by the Jersey City Police Department,
informing our agency that they had a male in their custody with an active warrant, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal
Court. Shortly after, members of the Jersey City Police Department arrived at our police headquarters with 26-year-old
Carlos J. Ramos of Harrison, NJ. Mr. Ramos was then placed under arrest and processed for the active warrant. Upon the
completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Ramos was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court
appearance with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.
2. On February 11th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to Polk Street
after receiving a report of an unknown male entering a residence. During their on-scene investigation, officers received a
description of the suspect and also uncovered that the suspect left numerous personal belongings on a bed inside of the
residence he entered unlawfully. Moments later, officers from the North Bergen Police Department notified our agency
that they had located the male, at which point our officers responded and arrested 34-year-old Kenny J. Cardona of
North Bergen, NJ, for criminal trespass [2C:18-3A]. Mr. Cardona was then transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Cardona was issued his
complaint warrant and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.
3. On February 15th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
arrested 31-year-old Vanessa Daniels of Reading, PA, after discovering that she had an active warrant, issued by the
Englewood Municipal Court. Ms. Daniels was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest
processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Daniels was issued summonses for traffic violations and
then released on her own recognizance, pending her next court appearance with the Englewood Municipal Court.
The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven
guilty in a court of law.
