This evening, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Saddle Brook Police Department are investigating an attempted homicide involving a crossbow in Saddle Brook, NJ.
On Monday, February 17, 2025, at approximately 5:55 p.m., the Saddle Brook Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a woman seriously injured at her place of employment, a business on Route 46 East in Saddle Brook, NJ. Responding officers discovered that an adult female had been shot in the face with a crossbow, and the suspect fled the scene prior to their arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. She is currently listed in stable condition.
Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit were notified, responded to the scene, and initiated a joint investigation with the Saddle Brook Police Department. The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office has also responded to the scene to assist.
This investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Saddle Brook Police Department under the direction of Chief John Zotollo. No other information is available at this time.
