On 01/13/2025 at 9:43 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Cumberland County Jail to take into custody a 45-year-old male, Stephen Janasiak of Bridgeton, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. The charges were issued in relation to a theft that occurred at the Harmony Suites located at 455 Plaza Drive on 11/01/2024. Janasiak was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 01/14/2025 at 6:23 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 43-year-old male, Ajith Verghese of Watchung, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $1,130.00. Verghese was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
On 01/14/2025 at 4:08 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Union County Jail to take into custody a 30-year-old male, Kendjy Philippe of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Philippe was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 01/15/2025 at 11:21 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old female, Averilyn Cabrera of Haledon, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Paterson did release Ms. Cabrera on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody.
On 01/17/2025 at 10:58 AM, Secaucus Police arrested a 44-year-old female, Gisselle Munoz of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Munoz was arrested and processed at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred at Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on 10/02/2024. Ms. Munoz was subsequently released from police custody.
On 01/17/2025 at 6:23 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male, Mohamed Hassan of Jersey City, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A]. Munoz was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
