The Lower Passaic River Urban Waters Federal Partnership (UWFP), in collaboration with the Newark City Parks Foundation, Newark Arts, and the New YorkâNew Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP), is offering a 13-month artist residency to engage the public in critical water challenges and other environmental concerns along the Lower Passaic River.

- Total Budget: $72,000 (supports artist fees, supplies, fabrication, installation, documentation)
- Residency Start: March 2025 (includes an immersive exploratory phase)
- Open to All Artists: Visual, literary, performing, and beyond
- Encouraged Applicants: Those with meaningful connections to the waterfront communities of the Lower Passaic River.
- Application Deadline: January 31, 2025 (letter of interest required)
