On January 2, 2025 Millburn Police Officer Ford located a stolen vehicle parked and occupied by one male suspect in parking Lot E at The Mall at Short Hills. The vehicle was a stolen 2018 Dodge Durango stolen out of PA. Officer Ford arrested the driver, Deshawn Turpin, age 31, of Duluth GA without incident. Search incident to arrest yielded suspected marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, and a small scale. The suspect was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of CDS and distributing CDS.

On January 4, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Quiroz responded to Macys in the Short Hills Mall on a report of a theft that just occurred. The Store associate reported that Jason Ganz, age 21, from Brooklyn NY concealed a total of $1,120.00 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On January 9, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Quiroz responded to Millburn Ave by Vauxhall rd. on a report of a male suspect laying in the street flailing his arms, which was delaying traffic. The investigation led to the arrest of Adrian Angus, age 42, of Vauxhall. He was charged with interference with transportation, possession of CDS, unlawfully under the influence of a CDS.

On January 9, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Matos responded to Macys in the Short Hills Mall on a report of a theft that just occurred. The Store associate reported that Jinson Espejorobles, age 32, and Agustin Landinez, age 37, both from Brooklyn NY concealed a total of $733.0 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspects were placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting, conspiracy, and possession of antishoplifting device.

On January 11, 2025 Millburn Police Officer Matos stopped a 2008 Nissan Altima at The Short Hills mall for motor vehicle violations. The driver Dwayne Jones, age 49, of Bronx NY was unable to provide a driver’s license, registration, or proof of insurance for the vehicle. The vehicle also had fictitious license plates. The passenger of the vehicle Bobby Foster, age 51, of NY had an active arrest warrant from Paramus NJ. Further investigation revealed that both occupants had just stolen merchandise from Macys. The vehicle was impounded. Both suspects were charged with shoplifting.

On January 14, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Neequaye responded to Nordstrom at the Short Hills mall on a report of an employee stealing cash from the store. Nordstrom loss prevention reported that cash had gone missing on 21 different occasions over the past three months. An investigation was launched by lost prevention, who reported observing employee, Divine Ibewuike, age 24, of Union taking cash from the cash deposit bag on multiple occasions totaling $27,786.00. The employee was placed under arrest and charge with theft of movable property.


These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
