Millburn Police Case Updates - November 7, 2024

On October 18, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Tucker responded to Berkeley Road residence for a report of theft of a vehicle. The resident reported that two suspects just stole his 2021 Audi A5 from his driveway. It was reported that the key fob was left in the unlocked vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered in Irvington. This incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On October 18 2024, Millburn Police Officer Recinos responded to Sunglass Hut in Macys on a report of a theft that just occurred. Sunglass Hut manager reported that he observed a Hispanic Male suspect conceal a pair of sunglasses and exit the store and leave in a black sedan. At the same time, there was a witness reporting three Hispanic males that were attempting to burglarize vehicles in yellow parking deck who also left the area in a black vehicle. Officer Hunt-Miles located and stopped the suspect vehicle on JFK Parkway. The search of the vehicle yielded a BB gun. The investigation led to the arrest of Jose Lemus-Hernandez, age 18, of MD, Lucas Ruiz, age 22 of MA, and Kevin Mejia, age 22, of MA, who were charged with Conspiracy and Burglary. Juan Arias, age 21, of MA was charged with shoplifting. Edison Omar Aleman, age 23, of MA was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.

On October 20 2024, Millburn Police Officer Seebohm responded to Neiman Marcus in the Short Hills Mall on a report of theft that just occurred. Neiman Marcus associates reported that Leonid Mizhericher, age 63, of Staten Island NY, concealed $1,580.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On October 24, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Matos stopped a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with a temporary license plate for motor a vehicle violation, at the Short Hills Mall. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen out of Irvington and that the temporary plate was fraudulent. The driver Issouf Ilboudo, age 24, of Bronx NY was placed under arrest and charged with receiving stolen property, false report to law enforcement officer, and criminal simulation.

On October 25 2024, Millburn Police Officer Tucker responded to Chanel Fragrance in the Short Hills Mall on a report of theft that just occurred. The store associates reported that Fahtemah Smith, age 34, of Harrisburg PA, concealed $890.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On October 29 2024, Millburn Police Officer Reid responded to Chanel in the Short Hills Mall on a report of theft that just occurred. The store associates reported that Trystin Burgess, age 24, of Maspeth NY, concealed $890.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The investigation also revealed that he purchased $4,260.00 of merchandise from Chanel with a fraudulent credit card. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting, Forgery, credit card fraud, and theft by deception.

Millburn Officer Sweeney responded to a report of an intoxicated male found lying on the side of a Ridgewood rd. residence. Upon investigation, it was determined that the individual had just shoplifted approximately $277 worth of merchandise from the local CVS store. A search incident to arrest revealed that the suspect was in possession of 2 vials of suspected crack cocaine, as well as a crack pipe. The suspect was arrested and charged with Shoplifting, Possession of suspected CDS, Possession of drug paraphernalia.

On November 2, 2024, Millburn Police Goldfarb responded to Macy’s in the Short Hills Mall on a report of theft that just occurred. Macy’s associates reported that Luis Allauca, age 32, of Newark, concealed $299 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On November 4, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Seebohm responded to Macy’s in the Short Hills Mall on a report of a suspect attempting fraudulent credit card purchases. Macy’s associates reported that Tyrese Guillebeaux, age 25, of Queens NY attempted to purchase $721.00 of merchandise with a Victim’s credit card, that he did not have authorization to use. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Theft by deception, and conspiracy.


These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
