Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge
Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 10:15 p.m. on October 12, 2024, members of the
Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of 12th Avenue and East 26th Street Avenue
on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival to the area, Paterson Police were advised that a 27-year-old
male from Paterson, New Jersey, suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound and a 26-year-old male
from Paterson, New Jersey, suffering from injuries arrived at to St. Joseph’s University Medical
Center, via private vehicle.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
