4. The following is an update related to previously released information regarding the arrest of 34-year-old Alfredo Gonzalez of Guttenberg, NJ, for the misuse of a 9-1-1 emergency line. On October 2nd, 2024, Mr. Gonzalez was arrested, processed, and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center following an investigation regarding his fabrication of a fire and mental health emergency to elicit an emergency response. Following his arrest, the Guttenberg Police Department was notified by members who work with Hudson County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications, that Mr. Gonzalez had continuously abused the 9-1-1 communications line with non-emergent matters on October 2nd, 2024. At the time that our organization received this information, Mr. Gonzalez had already been lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center. Thankfully, Mr. Gonzalez was located in an area, that at the time of the call, was viewable by our CCTV surveillance cameras. The review of this footage showed that Mr. Gonzalez was not approached by any vehicles, nor did he have any interaction with anyone, other than a few of our Officers who had to respond to countless non-emergent calls that Mr. Gonzalez placed.
