Millburn Police Case Updates

On September 12, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Macy’s in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Macy’s associate reported that Daniela Rodriguez-Delgado, age 20, and Miguel Toscano-Luciano, age 21 both from Newark concealed a total of $1,647.14 of merchandise and left the store without paying. They were both placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On September 15, 2024, during late night hours Millburn Police Sergeant Royce observed a suspicious male sleeping in front of bagels 4 U. The investigation revealed that the male was in possession of heroin and a glass crack pipe. He was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On September 17, 2024 during evening hours Millburn Police responded to Short Hills train station on a report of a male suspect attempting burglarize vehicles. Millburn Police Officers stopped a male suspect matching the actor’s description. The investigation led to the arrest of Jamer Habibullah, age 21 of Irvington. He was charged with burglary of a vehicle and criminal attempt to commit burglary.

On September 21, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Genitempo stopped a 2019 GMC truck on Parsonage Hill Rd for multiple motor vehicle violations. The investigation led to the arrest of the driver Dashan Hanks, age 48, of East Orange, for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Hanks was charged with DWI and open container of alcohol in a MV and later released to an acquaintance.

On September 22, 2024 Millburn Sergeant Christopher DeRosa located a 1994 Toyota Corolla parked at the Short Hills Mall with a stolen Connecticut License plate attached to it. The male driver attempted to leave in the vehicle, when it was stopped by several Police units. The investigation led to the arrest of Courtney Harrison, age 32, of Clermont Fl. He was charged with receiving stolen property and multiple motor vehicle summonses.

On September 20, 2024 Millburn Police Officer Sweeney attempted to stop a 2021 white Mercedes Benz at the Short Hills Mall for expired license plate. The driver refused to stop and eluded the police and fled from the mall. Officer Sweeney pursued the vehicle, but shortly after had to terminate due to safety concerns. Two days later the same vehicle and driver were back at the mall. Millburn Police Officer Griffin attempted to stop the vehicle, however it again refused to stop and attempted to elude the police, and exit the mall property. This time the driver got stuck behind traffic and multiple Millburn Police officers were able to arrest the subject. Aaron Miranda, age 25, of Elizabeth was charged with two accounts of eluding police and multiple motor vehicle violations.

On September 23, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Macy’s in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Macy’s associate reported that William Sanchez-Hernandez age 43 and Jinson Espejorobles, age 32, both from Newark concealed a total of $1,824.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. They were both placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
