3 Charged Following Secaucus Narcotics Investigation

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force has charged three individuals following a narcotics investigation in Secaucus. Over the course of the investigation, over 150 grams of cocaine and approximately 20 grams of MDMA were recovered.

Nelson Villegas-Rios, 33, of Lyndhurst, is charged with three counts of Distribution (cocaine/MDMA) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5a(1) and 2C:35-5b(2); three counts of Conspiracy to Distribute (cocaine) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5a(1), 2C:35-5b(2) and 2C:5-2; Possession with the Intent to Distribute (MDMA) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 35-5b(3); and Possession with the Intent to Distribute (MDMA) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(2). Sebastian Ospina Osorio, 34, of New York, is charged with Distribution (cocaine) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5a(1) and 2C:35-5b(2); Conspiracy to Distribute (cocaine) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5a(1), 2C:35-5b(2), and 2C:5-2; and two counts of Possession with the Intent to Distribute (cocaine/MDMA) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(3). Both were arrested on August 7, 2024, on Plaza Drive in Secaucus.

As part of the ongoing investigation, the Port Authority Police Department arrested Larry Brito Marin, 27, of Lodi, at John. F. Kennedy International Airport of September 3, 2024. He is charged with three counts of Conspiracy to Distribute (cocaine) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5a(1), 2C:35-5b(2), and 2C:5-2; and Distribution (cocaine) in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(2).

Prosecutor Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force with the investigation and arrests. The above charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. R.P.C.3.6(b)(6)
