Burglary Attempt
September 4, 2024 (Midland Avenue): Officers responding to an alarm at Montclair Lighting Company discovered damage to the wooden boarder of the front door caused by a midsize tool, possibly a crowbar. The suspect(s) were unable to gain entry. The incident is under investigation.

Motor Vehicle Crime
September 4. 2024 (Claremont Avenue): The complainant reported that he parked his vehicle in his driveway. The following morning, he discovered that has wallet and a pair of Airpods were missing from inside the car. The Airpods were last tacked to Springfield Avenue in Newark.

September 4, 2024 (Maple Avenue): The victim reported that his 2021 BMW was stolen while double parked on Maple Avenue. It was ultimately recovered on September 6, 2024 in Newark.

September 8, 2024 (Orange Road): The complainant reported that his 2011 Nissan Rouge was entered while parked on Orange Road. He reported that his wallet and an electric scooter were stolen. Numerous unauthorized charges were made on his credit card at various locations in East Orange.

Arrest
September 3, 2024 (Bloomfield Avenue): A 44-year-old male from Newark was charged with Disorderly Conduct after several Bloomfield Avenue businesses reported that he was causing a disturbance in their respective establishments.
