Child Stabbed Multiple Times in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 4:05 pm on August 23, 2024, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the area of East 24th Street and 10th Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey on the report of a child who had been stabbed. Upon arrival, police located a four-year-old victim who had been stabbed multiple times. The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment and has been admitted and is in stable condition.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
