1. On August 15th, 2024, the Hackensack Police Department contacted our agency, informing us that they had a male in their custody with an active warrant, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Shortly after, Officers from our agency responded to the Hackensack Police Department, where they arrested 27-year-old Mateo Orozco-Restrepo of West New York, NJ. Mr. Orozco-Restrepo was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Orozco-Restrepo was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.

2. On August 17th, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 68th Street and Hudson Avenue, after receiving reports of a fight in progress. During their response, officers engaged in a foot pursuit of a suspect, fleeing from the scene of the fight. After a brief foot pursuit, officers and detectives arrested 26- year-old Carlos D. Rodriguez-Garavito of North Bergen, NJ. Mr. Rodriguez-Garavito was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing, where he was charged with hindering his own apprehension [2C:29-3A(5)] and resisting arrest [2C:29-2A(1)]. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Rodriguez-Garavito was issued his complaint summons and then released from police custody.

3. On August 17th, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 34-year-old Nobel I. Caballero of Fairview, NJ, after discovering that he had two active warrants, issued by the Weehawken Municipal Court. Mr. Caballero was transported to the Port Authority Police Department in Weehwaken for his arrest processing.

4. On August 17th, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 33-year-old Efraim W. Diaz of Jersey City, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the Newark Municipal Court. Mr. Diaz was transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Diaz was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Newark Municipal Court.


The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
