Juvenile Shot in Passaic

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman announce that at approximately 11:48 p.m. on August 15, 2024, members of the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Monroe Street and Grove Street in Passaic, New Jersey upon a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, responding officers were able to locate a potential crime scene, but not a victim. Police were subsequently notified that the victim, a juvenile from Passaic was transported to the Westside Firehouse, and subsequently transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
