Fairview Woman Charged With Endangering the Welfare of a Child

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 38-year-old CASSANDRA M. GIANOTTI of Fairview, NJ on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief Vincent Bellucci.

On Friday, July 12, 2024, the Fairview Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged physical abuse of a juvenile under the age of sixteen. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fairview Police Department revealed that CASSANDRA M. GIANOTTI physically assaulted a juvenile under the age of sixteen in Fairview on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, CASSANDRA M. GIANOTTI was arrested in Paramus, NJ and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(2). GIANOTTI was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Fairview Police Department and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this investigation.
