23-Year-Old and 26-Year-Old Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 11:58 p.m. on August 10, 2024, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of 21st Avenue and East 33rd Street on a report of a shooting. Paterson Police located a 26-year-old male from Paterson, New Jersey who suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound. Additionally, Paterson Police were advised that a 23-year-old male from Paterson, New Jersey, arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center via private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. Members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
