Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

Friendly reminder that the intersection of Highwood Avenue and Jay Street now has four way stop signs. The first vehicle to arrive and make a complete stop has the right of way, followed by the vehicle farthest to the right if two cars arrive at the same time.

Remember to please curb and cleanup after the family dog when out walking. Everyone appreciates the courtesy.

Looking for a nature experience for all ages? Enjoy time this weekend among the free-flying native butterflies and moths of the Nature Center Butterfly House this Saturday or Sunday at 1:30 or 2:30 pm. After feeding the butterflies, spend time creating your own seed ball to help pollinators near you. Sign up today at Tenafly Nature Center.

Monday, August 5, at Montammy Golf Club is Play Fore!, the Kids Golf and Tennis Classic. This important fundraiser includes a fun day of Men’s and Women’s Golf, Tennis, Pickleball, and Mahjong or Canasta and helps support programming and services for children at the JCC. The Tenafly students Interact Club is creating a video for Grandparents Day, September 8. The purpose of the video is to encourage people to spend time with Grandparents and Senior family members while engaged in and recording short conversations or activities. Your video, or audio clip with a photo, should be limited to 30-45 second clips. All the completed videos and audio clips will be posted on the Interact Club YouTube Channel. Clips can be submitted to Winsten Lamb at email: 25wlam@tenafly.k12.nj.us The video will premiere on September 9.

The 10th Annual Tenafly Community Night is Tuesday, September 10, 5 pm to 8 pm on Riveredge Road (in front of Police/Fire Station and in the Borough Parking Lot) presented by Tenafly Recreation and Tenafly Police. Join in for food, drinks, entertainment, amusement rides, DJ, local businesses, emergency service demos, contests, giveaways and more! Celebrating a decade anniversary you won't want to miss.
